Clay's POV

I sat down in the kitchen still clutching my chest 'it hurts so bad..' I looked up at the time '4.13am... great' I sighed, putting my head on my arms that were now resting on the kitchen table just sitting there until the sun started to come out 'why not watch it..' I opened the door going outside just sitting on the grass, sitting under a tree just watching the sunrise 'It's never as beautiful as the sunset..' I sighed again thinking 'What if....'

"what if this is my last sunrise?..."

3rd person POV

Clay was sitting there, under the tree for who knows how long. While he was sitting there the others started to wake up, going into the kitchen one by one "good morning lovebirds~" Chin teased Toast and Grace which ended with him getting hit on the back of his head by Toast "shut and go wake your darling sweetheart" Toast teased him back "I don't think he's asleep" Grace said looking out of the window, both Toast and Chin looked at her "what do you mean? He isn't here" Grace looked at them and pointed out of the window "maybe not here, but he is out there" They all went to the door and opened it, and not to their surprise, Clay was sitting exactly where Grace had pointed. They walked up to him not realising he was deep in thought "hey Clay!" Toast exclaimed happily, this startled Clay and he fell on his face into the grass below him. This caused Chin to chuckle, Toast to laugh and Grace giggled a little while helping him up, Clay being careful to not show signs of the crystals to them, not wanting them to worry "o-oh hi guys" Clay mumbled "you're up early" Chin chuckled more "It's 10:23am Clay" Clay turned slightly red out of embarassment "oh- I didn't notice" Chin patted him on the head "Don't worry pum, you've been outside after all" Clay just nodded tiredly, he stood up slowly "well, let's not be outside, come on I can make breakfast for you all" He started to walk towards the house while the others followed like small baby ducklings. When they got back inside Clay headed straight to the kitchen starting to make everyone breakfast. He started making grilled krill and toast to which Toast said "I am only eating it, because it's a different type of toast" Grace laughed patting her on her back. Chin was leaning against the table in the middle of the kitchen looking at Clay making a late breakfast for them smiling softly at him, Clay didn't notice due to him mostly focusing on the food and to not burn it. After a little while he called the others to the kitchen saying that he was done "OooOo smells amazing!" Toast said droll almost dripping from her mouth "pfft!- even though it's toast?" Clay asked smiling, she immediatly looked him straight in the eye saying "it's different ok?" the others laughed and started eating Grace humming in delight from the taste of the first bite "wow! man I almost forgot how good your food was!" She said happily eating more "ehe thank you Chela" Clay said tiredly, he ate the food rather slow.

When they were all done Clay decided to wash the dishes, he wanted to go outside to their garden to see if anything had grown since he last checked. When he was done he went outside to check, he sat down next to the lavender to see if there had grown any more which there had. Clay smiled brightly, gently touching the growning lavender in the garden, he slowly stood up and walked around the garden a little forgetting about the pain in his chest and just going around admiring the work they had all put to make the garden as beautiful it was.

He sat down on the bench admiring the flowers and plants in peace, after a little while Grace had come out of the door, she smiled saying "it's grown a lot huh?" Clay looked at her before softening his eyes and smile "pfft yeah..it has" he placed a hand on his stomach feeling how much it really hurt, on the touch he had done it didn't hurt much so he thought 'oh! it must be getting better!' Grace sat down next to him and put her hand on his shoulder and smiled "We're thinking of going to dreams to skate a little! You wanna come along?" Clay thought for a moment before nodding "Sure! I don't see why not!" he stood up with Grace and walked into the house again. Toast and Chin had already changed into warmer clothes for the wintery cold in dreams "Oh is he coming?" asked Toast, Grace nodded smiling and Chin smiled softly looking at Clay with loving eyes while he went into his room to also change to warmer clothes, after a small while he came out of his room with his fluffy cape and pants to keep warm. Grace looked around to see if everyone was ready and then said "Alright! Let's go, everyone's ready right?" everyone nodded and then they took each others hands. [ Toast took Grace's hand, Clay took Grace's and Chin's hand]

After a while they finally got to the tunnel that leads them to dreams "alright we're here! you guys wanna go alone or together?" Before anyone had said anything Clay took off and yelled "last one there is a rotten egg!" right after that went Toast after him "oii get back here you dumbass!" Grace sighed laughing a little hearing the loud laughter of Clay and Toast skating down into the tunnel, the two went down into the tunnel skating after the other two.

when they came down they saw both Clay and Toast in the snow laughing loudly "pfft god you two are such dumbasses" Chin laughed out when he saw them, Clay and Toast stood up dusting the snow off themselves "alright now answer, do you guys wanna go alone or with somone?" Toast immediatly said "alone! I have some plans of revenge eheheh" Chin's expression lit up "oh! let me help you plan revenge~ " he laughed evilly Grace looked at Clay "and you?" Clay looked up saying "oh! I wanna go alone! just to take in the scenary again, it's been so long ehe" Grace nodded smiling "I'll go alone as well then" The group split up going their own ways, Chin and Toast went up to the spa area, Clay went deeper into the village and Grace went back to talk with the elder spirit whom everyone called 'moma guide' when dreams had their event-

Chin's POVT

Me and Toast went into the spa and sat down "ok so- what's the revenge for?" Toast smiled evilly "for a certain someone who called me a rotten egg" I laughed out "pfft!- You mean Clay?" Toast nodded rapidly "ye ye! Clay! I'm thinking we throw snowballs at him!" I leaned onto my hand chuckling "wouldn't that be a little unfair though?" Toast stopped smiling and thought for a moment "i mean- maybe?" she thought for a moment, I looked around at the other sky kids that were having it nice in the spa, imagining clay sitting there, smiling in the warmth of the spa"OI CHIN" I snapped out of my soon thoughts "wha- hah?" I looked at Toast who was now pouting "did you even listen to my plan?" I shook my head "no sorry I didn't hear" she shook her head and started telling me her plan on how we'd shout at him that a snowball war was gonna commence, we agreed on the plan and started sneakingly walk into the town looking for Clay.

We had been looking for him for a while, unable to find him "where the heck is he??" Asked Toast starting to sound worried "I don't know- But I'm starting to get worried, what if he has hurt himelf or worse-" I started to panic as well but Toast calmed me down by putting her hand on my shoulder "let's see if we find Grace first and see if she has seen him" I nodded slowly and we walked back to the dreams guide.

When we got there me and Toast saw Grace sitting on a table and talking with the guide, she saw us coming towards us and excused herself before walking to us "hi guys! where's Clay?" When she said that I felt a shiver go down my spin 'does-does she not know? wait no there's still a chance!' "well, we actually came to ask if you knew, we went into the village to find him but we haven't found him yet" Grace looked down thinking "well, I can help you guys look for him, bet he's just doing a prank like always" Me and Toast nodded starting to walk back into the village and waving bye the moma guide.

once we got to the village we split to look for him better, after maybe just 15 minutes we heard Toast scream in horror, me and Grace ran towards were we heard the sound and we saw Toast slowly backing up crying her eyes out, Grace rushed quickly to her side holding her close to herself trying to calm her down, she looked around and then her eyes widened and tears started spilling from her eyes as well. I ran to them to also try to comfort but then i saw it...
