Butterflies ||a.i

part 1

I woke up on an overcast morning and looked at the clock *6:35* I figured now was the best time if i was going to be at work on time. I groaned and got up. I put on my black ripped jeans and my favorite band shirt along with my doc martens. I did all the other morning stuff brushing my teeth and putting on my makeup it's always really minimal red eyeshadow and blended out eyeliner. I went downstairs from my room and let my dog outside in the back yard while i was getting my stuff together.
"okay got my charger my hoodie and my wallet. shit where are my keys."
I looked around anywhere I could think of in the couch, in the fruit bowl who the hell knows. I finally found them in my dogs pin with chew marks
"fucking shit." i said under my breath it didn't look like she got very far so at least she wouldn't have gotten hurt. she came back in and I put her in her pin I really had to leave now or i'd be late.
"love you dumbass!!" I said to my dog and I ran out and locked my door behind me and drove to work.
I pulled up to the boone bagelry basically breakfast shit. I walked in and quickly went to the back to put my stuff down my manager walked in
"you're late." she said flatly.
"yes i know i'm really sorry." i turned to her as she half smiled
"it's okay just be better next time i don't want to have to shift your hours." she said and then walked away
I put on my apron and ran out to the second register and logged in
"i can take who's next." i said over the sound of coffee grinding.
it was one of our regulars her name was Sheryl she got a soy vanilla latte venti
"good morning Sheryl how are you?"
"i'm good doll how are you" she responded
"i'm alright what can i get for you today?"
"i'll do the usual please" she said with a smile
"alright" i tapped it into my register and told her the price
"have a good day love" she said while walking away
"i'll take who's next" i said as the next person walked up there was only one person at each station apparently no one in this dead beat town wanted to work here but us
a tall man with sunglasses and a black coat walked up he was wearing casual dress pants and a ripped tee shirt i couldn't make out what it said on it. he was wearing a couple diffrent necklaces and some crystal bracelets and a bunch of rings..wait am i looking at his hands oh shit. he had brown mid length hair it was beautiful he was beautiful. wait that's weird. never mind forget i said that ew.
"good morning how can i help you?" i said with a smile and he took his sunglasses off while smiling
"hi may i get a..." he studied the menu like he hadn't been standing in line looking at it
"caramel iced soy latte and a bagel. dealers choice" he said with a smirk.
"sure will this order be here or togo?"
"for here please" i noticed that he had a cute Australian accent but i don't know why anyone would leave there to come to boone north carolina.  This place is a hell hole and he looked important. I saw him examine me he looked me up and down "uhm yeah of course and can i get a name for the order?" i said probably blushing but i couldn't tell he was still smirking "ashton" his smirk changed to a smile
"alright ashton how does an everything bagel sound?"
"wonderful..." he looked to my tag "ceil..lovely name." he looked back at me and i looked back at the register to finish his order up
"thank you ashton i like yours too" he payed and went to the waiting area there were about 4 more customers before the line ended i got through those quickly to help my co workers.
"what do you guys need me to do?" i asked them
"um..hand out the orders for us cause we have a lot of online ones to get to" my co worker alice said
"okay cool" i walked to the window and they handed me a couple of different orders with stickers so i handed out the right ones.
"online order for alex black coffee and bagel sandwich" they walked up and got their order i looked at the next one and got butterflies
"order for ashton iced coffee and a dealers choice" i said as he walked up he let out a chuckle and i smiled at him
"thank you" he smiled at me "hey would you-"he started but got cut off by alex
"you have a line forming" i looked over four more people damnit "sorry ashton enjoy your bagel come back soon yeah?" i said while walking back to my register and i watched him go to the door and look back before walking out the door and sitting at a table outside by himself he didn't pull out his phone like everyone else does not computer just sipping and eating staring out at the people he's very interesting to watch but oh shit i got a long ass line.
"hi how can i help you?"
