"I just don't want to see him, Roger. I even thought of staying home today."

"Oh don't be ridiculous. I'm sure there are things you want to say to him. Here's the chance!"

"I don't know. I'm just so scared of breaking down in front of him."

"Alice, please. It's his loss."

Just as they were walking through the hallway, they saw Marc getting some stuff out of his locker.

"Hm, speaking of the devil." Roger said quietly but when he didn't get a response, he turned to his best friend to see what was wrong, only to see her eyes filled up with tears. "Hey, hey...it's okay." He paused. "Look at me."
Alice turned to him. "Do you want to talk to him?"

"Uhm, I think I do, yeah."

"Okay, I'll wait over here, alright?"

"Mhm."

Roger leaned against a locker, away from Marc and watched Alice.
She stood there for a while, Marc unaware of her presence but then she cleared her throat and he turned to her.

"Hey." She said confidently. "Mind to tell me why you dumped me all of a sudden?"

"I- ummm, Alice, I swear I'm going to tell you everything and I honestly am, truly sorry but I-I can't tell you the reason...I mean n-not yet. I'm sorry."

He tried to walk away but Alice yelled behind him, stopping him on his tracks.

"You weren't even brave enough to say it to my face?! At least give me a call?!"
Marc turned around and sighed, Alice continuing quieter. "Breaking up with somebody over text - not cool, Marc." She shook her head, tears filling up her eyes again.
"Just tell me, please. Did you fall out of love with me? Did you cheat on me? What is it that you can't tell?"

"Alice, I didn't cheat on you. But seriously, I can't tell you this yet. It's...It's too personal."
With that, he quickly walked away, Roger barely holding himself back from giving him a punch. He saw a tear drop slide down his best friend's cheek and he quickly went next to her, trying his best to comfort her.

"What?!" Freddie shrieked. "The talent show this year is going to be before the Spring break?! But it's always been before Christmas. I had an amazing idea about what to do this year!" Freddie was disappointed to say the least, looking at the notice board.

"Well, on the bright side, we got more time now." Brian shrugged.

"Holy shit. Bri just became optimistic. Rare shit." Freddie said, impressed, and Brian just snorted out a laugh and shoved him slightly.

"I'm bored. Let's go somewhere. Outside or something. Why are we still in the building during the break anyway?" Roger streched.

"Yeah, let's go. By the way Rog, you seem a little down. What's wrong?" Freddie asked.

"Alice."

"What's up with Alice?"

"Stupid asshole Marc broke up with her over text."

"Pardon?" Freddie widened his eyes.

"Exactly."

"Woah..." John let out. "I can't even imagine that."

"Remember the time I confessed my love for you and you left me on seen, John?"

"We don't talk about that, okay?" John laughed. "And you know very well why I did that."

"Yeah, yeah, sorry."
