Once again, I got to put my legs to work. We ran and ran and ran and ran until we couldn't run anymore. And yet we still ran. "We should stop." I said between breaths. "No. We have to press on." Valory said kindly. "Not like she's used to pain. Then again, who knows what these two were doing before the fire." Draken said not as warmly. My cheeks flushed with red. This guy was really getting on my nerves. "Enough." Quinn said, brushing past Drake. I thought of how cute it was for him to stand up for me. But then I realized. He stuck up for me. Which means he had a reason to stick up for me. Which isn't plausible in the known universe. And I was going to show him why. "Oh, sorry for not being able to run across the kingdom and back. But all hail the mighty Draken. Ruler of the people of Run-fastia. How's that working our for you? I bet all the girls swoon for a guy who excels in running away from everything." I said. "But of course, it comes with of the side effect of being a heartless coward with major psychological problem. Fantasizing about two strangers and their intimate relations. Has your mommy had you tested. Oh wait." I finished my rant. I could tell it hit home. Olivia stared with me with some kind of respect. So did Quinn. Aiden was just happy that the confrontation was over. "Now, to echo the words of the wisest person I know, 'Shut up and run.'." I said, purposely bumping into Draken as I walked past him. I could feel the heat of his glare as I walked past. "Are you just gonna stare at me or run. And if you choose the former, you should probably  do it in the bushes. I don't like it when the pervs stare at me while they do it." I said. He stared at me, jaw wide open. "I don't think he knows what that word means. After all, it is pretty big word." Quinn said. "I know what it means." Drake spat. "Good for you. Now I can tolerate you a little more." Aiden finally said. He was taking after Olivia of being silent and only talk when you need to. And when you do, leave the victim in shock and end the conversation. He was getting good at it. "Quinn put his arm as we walked. Olivia, Valory and Aiden were behind, and Draken was sulking in the far back. "Good one." Quinn said. "Which one?" I asked, not being modest. He laughed. "All of them." he answered. It was the right one. We laughed as we walked into the dark. Into the unknown.
