This is starting to get annoying. First, a peaceful day with my head full of thoughts about bunnies and rainbows, and then trying to save my sister from a rogue assassin, and later, a post traumatic event conversation with my father, the king, and then a wall being blown up in my face. Not one of my best days. but there was nothing I could do when the wall next to me decided to blow up. Not that I was blaming the wall. Ok maybe I was. But I really needed something to blame. We all were on the other side of the room when Mysterious Man With Weapon #2 of this traumatic experience. My father seemed to know who he was though, because he was instantly on guard and on his feet. Speaking of guard, where were all the palace guards? Probably dead. That thought really didn't fuel my passion to talk to this guy. Not like he was going to talk to us. One arrow for each of us and the lineage of the Bellarc's was wiped out of existence. Charming. Fortunately though, Mister Super Creep was in no hurry to end our lives. I thought this was a good thing, but then I realized that torture was a big reality. Father was on his feet preparing for the confrontation with the mysterious man. I hope he says his name. Coming up with nicknames is hard. Luckily, I didn't have to do that anymore. "Kane" father spat, limping closer to this Kane guy. He didn't strike me as a "Friendship and Rainbows" kind of guy but I could be wrong. Hopefully I was wrong. "Good to see you too brother." He said. "Brother?" Alexa asked. "Oh I imagine that he hasen't told told you or anyone about me. He despises me." Kane said. "YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO BE HERE!" father yelled, throwing himself at Kane. He held out his bow and aimed it at  father's head. Father stumbled backwards. "Oh, but I do. All those years wandering your glorious kingdom and still not allowed near you and your precious children. Shall we see who cries first. I might have to draw blood but you won't mind would you? Kane said. Father once again, pounced at Kane, this time successfully knocking the bow out of Kane's hand. But somehow, he got a dagger from it's sheath and into father's stomach. "RUN!" he bellowed, with a little less energy. But we did what he said. We ran.
