It felt like we walked for ever, but we eventually reached the outskirts of Orania. We were out in the open so we walked as fast as we could until finally we got there. The city was full of life and people. There were little kids running around all over the place. "This isn't so bad." I said, soaking in my surroundings. "Yea." he agreed. The bustle of the streets was almost overwhelming. "Lets find somewhere to stay." he said. We walked around the town until we found the nearest inn. "How can I help you young fellows today?" he said, with many sweeping hand gestures. "Um.. we're looking for a place to stay." Aiden, or I should call him Alec, said. "And how much do you have to spend, lad?" he asked, with even more hand gestures. "How much is it?" Aiden- I mean Alec- said. "I like you, you got spunk. Not many people around here do. Where are you from?" the man said, cutting the hand gestures. Without missing a beat, Aiden said "None of your concern. I have money, you have a place for us to stay. So unless you answer my question, we'll take our business elsewhere." At this remark, the man gave a hearty laugh and said. "You my friend, are the definition of backbone. It'll be three 'crowns'." "THREE CROWNS!" Aiden responded. We definitely had more than that, but no commoner took a high price like that without a fight. "Fine, a double florin." the man said. Aiden still bargained. "A florin." "A half crown" "Deal" Aiden finally said, and then he looked for the coin. I had to admit, he was a really good bargainer. He dropped the price by thirteen shillings, which is a moderate amount of money to begin with, but only richer people had that as change. "There you go." he said, handing the man his money. The man handed Aiden the keys to the room. "Second floor, fourth room." he said. We thanked him and walked into the building. For some strange reason, /i felt like we were being watched. But that's just paranoia right? We unlocked the door and sat down in our room. "Do you think things will ever get back to normal?" I said. "No." he said. "But sometimes that's a good thing." Agreed. I took a look around the room to see what kind of place we would be staying in for who knows when. It was as simple as could be,no paintings, one bed, a trunk that was meant for clothes and other items that unfortunately, we had no use for. There was one window, facing the busy street. There were two cloaked figures, starring right at us from the ground. No one noticed them, even though it was broad daylight. And then, they vanished. Just gone. At the same time, the door flew open.
