Day 1

The elevator dinged and Ellie stepped out. She was holding some presents in her hands. As she walked past the Christmas tree, which was standing in front of the window, she put the packages under the tree. It was snowing outside, and Ellie stood still for a second to watch the snow falling. She walked to her desk with a big smile on her face. “Morning Ellie.” “Morning Mcgee.” “Why are you so happy Bambina?” “It’s Christmastime. The most wonderful time of the year. How could I not be happy?” “I don’t know. Have you donated presents for the kids yet?” “Yeah. I just put them under the tree. I hope these kids will have a good time with them.” “What did you donate?” “A barbie doll, some Lego and a cute little picture book from my childhood. And you?” “I found a starter set for IT interested kids.” Ellie laughed. “What? Why are you laughing?” “I’m sorry Mcgee but do you know just one kid on this earth who would love to have this starter pack?” “I would have loved to.” The elevator dinged again, and Nick went out. He was grumbling mis understandable. He said with an annoyed expression: “Morning.” Ellie looked at him confused. “Good morning Nick. Got up with the wrong foot today?” “No… It’s just this cold and dark and freezing bad weather. I hate winter.” Ellie was shocked. “What did you just say? That’s unbelievable. How can you say that?” “I just hate it Ellie. I’m sorry but I don’t understand how someone can like this weather.” In that moment Gibbs walked in. “No time for understanding things, Torres. Dead body, grab your gear!”
