YG POV (CEO H. Bo-kyung, Directors, BP Manager, Lisa's Manager) (MOST OF THE SITUATIONS IN THIS CHAPTER ARE MADE UP, THIS IS WHAT SOME FANS THINK ABOUT YG ENTERTAINMENT)

While the fan is struggling with Jennie and Lisa in the high rise apartment; Blackpink's top executives gather in the meeting room of YG's headquarters.

CEO: "Thanks to everyone for coming. As you all know, the Government has recently announced restrictions in Seoul, due to the increase in contagions. We are forced to postpone the Blackpink online event."

BP Manager: "Girls have already recorded some videos to cancel the date and announce the new one, we knew this would happen. Regardless of the virus situation, we didn't have time to get properly ready for the event. We just have to upload them.

Director Yoo: "They must upload videos and news on their Instagram profiles too."

CEO: "Of course. Let's announce the new date right now, we don't want fans to get annoyed."

Director Kim: "What about the fan who had to attend the event?"

BP Manager: "I'll take care of it."

CEO: "Try to find accommodation until the end of the restrictions. And give to the Fan some merchandise. I want to try not to create discomfort with this situation."

BP Manager: "I will personally give an official T-shirt of the event."

Director Yoo: "Wait, we can't give this merchandise now. It's still in preorder, the distribution start date is January 8, 2021."

CEO: "It's ok, I allow that. It won't be a problem; the Fan certainly won't be able to walk around in Seoul with the event T-shirt. That's it. If we have finished, I will let you conclude the meeting here, I have to do some paperwork"

CEO leaves the meeting room.

Director Kim: "So, now that we have our privacy; what's the problem you wanted to talk about?"

BP Manager: "It's about Lisa."

Director Yoo: "Again?"

BP Manager: "I'll be brief. Lisa is getting too much success, too much visibility; we must handle it. One day Blackpink will end, and we need to make sure girls like Lalisa don't get away from us. It's already happened here, with CL for example. Our company can't afford it with Blackpink girls."

Director Kim: "After the manager scammed her for gambling, Lisa doesn't trust us anymore. She has become more independent; she no longer feels like a foreigner, she holds her power. She has become very withdrawn; it will not be easy."

BP Manager: "We need something concrete to... let's say "keep her quiet". There's also the usual problem with Jennie."

Director Kim: "About this, let's say actually we still don't have a clear vision of the whole thing. But if there's something more than a friendship between Lalisa and Jennie, we need to know and control it. And if it's possible, at the same time, try to use it for us."

Director Yoo: "I work with Blackpink's social media, I can tell you more and more fans likes to fantasize about relationships between girls. As you know also in Kpop, they named the couples as "ships". I think we always have to rely on the fans for our goals. It's okay to find a way to manage Lisa for the future, even using the other girls. But we should think to not press too much on this. The higher the level of fans liking, the more we can take advantage. Blinks seem to appreciate these "ships"."

BP Manager: "Fans can believe what they want, those stupid ships, or whatever they're called. It's Fanservice. First of all, if they appreciate this kind of interaction, we'll put Rosè next to Lisa as much as possible to promote her single."

Director Kim: Who supports this "Jenlisa" thing will not approve. They complain about the fact they never do a Live broadcast together, and they are becoming suspicious. They also claim that it is the staff that prevents interactions between them."

BP Manager: "Suspicious for what? I don't care about those fans. The staff does their job. The two girls have enough space during interviews."

Director Yoo: "We certainly can't build another gossip. The one with Dispatch and SM only diverted attention from Jennie's listlessness and promote her solo."

BP Manager: "Listen, no one wants to hurt Jennie or Lisa. All their actions can be easily explained with Fanservice, some lesbian skits are fine; it's what we asked them to do. But because of that, we can't let those two having too much contact in front of cameras. I'm sure you all noticed sometimes they don't realize what they are doing, they use that damned hands and eyes everywhere, keep touching and acting out of the plot.

Director Kim: "It seems that it is Jennie the one who often lingers on Lisa. But maybe just because they are very close, we know how supportive those girls are."

Director Yoo: "Lisa has already calmed down. I think now she interacts in the right way with Jennie, and she's showing more and more of her womanly side. As an ambassador for her brands, she has to maintain a certain appearance. However, the internet is a dangerous place, there are more and more rumors. Some fans obsessively analyze everything. Every little thing is misrepresented and emphasized, and since we can't directly disprove these rumors to support the Fanservice, we have to handle it with attention, girls may feel too pressured."

BP Manager: "I don't think it's a big deal as long as they stay focused on their work and do what we ask them. These rumors, for now, are from small fish. We all know that most Blackpink fans are teenagers; we don't have to take them seriously. But, indeed, those two sometimes feed their theories too much."

Director Kim: "So, what's the point?"

BP Manager: "I'll try to find something to handle Lisa. In the meantime, we'll use her visibility to promote Rosé. Allow the girls to interact with each other as long as it's Fanservice, but keep an eye on Jennie. That's all for now."

The Directors leave the meeting, while Lisa's manager enters the room.

Lisa's Manager: "Did you want to talk to me?"

BP Manager: "What I'm about to tell you is confidential. If I find out you talk to anyone about it, I will throw you out of the game."

Lisa's Manager: "Wow. Okay."

BP Manager: "I've suspected this for months, probably years. But Lisa's previous manager confirmed to me. He found out about their situation. I don't know-how; they were very close and I think Lisa told him too much. We can say that this was the key to a clean disappearance for him, and the agreement to gradually pay her back the money he stole, without too much controversy. But even if he told me all to save his ass with Lisa, I can't use easily this kind of information to get an advantage on her. That would be too risk for our company, we already have too many problems."

Lisa's Manager: "I think I don't get it. What is it this situation between the two girls?"

BP Manager: "You are new but how many damn months have you been here? Didn't you realize?"

Lisa's Manager: "Well, we don't speak too much. She often minds her own business."

BP Manager: "Lalisa and Jennie are in a relationship."
