Just a Normal Girl

Chapter 12

*Hailey's POV*
The ride, and the hug were over. I was so happy to be there with Hayes!! My sister called my name and said "mom wants to to go on the Green Lantern ride, so get your butt over here and stop flirting!!"
My face flushed a bright red and I immediately looked down and tried not to make eye contact with Hayes. I gained normal color to my face and sadly looked at Hayes and said "I'm really sorry, but I guess I have to go and be the odd one out! (I chuckled) You probably have to get to everyone else anyway?!"
Hayes just looked at me and held up a finger as if to tell me hold on. He ran to Nash, Cameron, and everyone else and talked to them for a few minutes and then I saw Nash's bright blue eyes give me a wink and then he looked at Hayes and he came running over to me with a smile plastered on his face! Then I asked him what's up, and then he said with complete enthusiasm "I asked Nash if I could just hang with you today because they were all getting spotted by teenage girls who didn't seem to notice me, and plus you were the odd one out, so coils I hang with you guys?!" My face lit up as I shouted YES! But was soon shut up by ally yelling my name!!!
*Hayes' POV*
I was sad to have seen Hailey go, but thought up and amazing idea in an instance!!! What if I hung with her and her family the whole day?! I held up a finger to indicate Hailey to wait, and I ran to Nash. I asked him if I could hang out with Hailey because I kind of wanted to go on rides and not be stopped by teenage girls. Nash took a moment to think this through and looked quickly at Hailey. He then made eye contact with me and said "go on! Have fun you little idiot, but meet us back here by the time the park closes!"

I played it off cool and said "thanks man" but inside I was smiling like crazy! I ran back to Hailey to tell her the great news. She seemed so happy, and I was glad to see her so happy! I thought for a moment and decided that today, I was going to tell her how I felt about her. We walked to the Green Lantern ride and I saw the color in Hailey's face disappear as she got closer to the ride. She was scared and it was actually kind of cute. I grabbed her hand and gave it a gentle squeeze and then the color returned to her face.
*Haiely's POV*
Shortly after Hayes told me the news, we walked onto the next ride I was so excited until we were 10 feet away. I saw how seriously scary the ride was and I felt the butterflies in my stomach flutter in complete fury! I tried so hard to hide the fear from my face, but Hayes-being th guy he is- must have seen because he grabbed my hand and squeezed it. I suddenly felt the butterflies in my stomach die as I felt comfort knowing he was here. He was seriously the only guy friend I had that cared for me so much! We walked up to the flash pass line and then my parents finally noticed I was there and had another person with me. All I heard was my mom questioning "Hailry, who is this?!" and then my dad, Ally, and Kyle turned around. I could see the shock and judgement in Ally's eyes. This was going to be a really long line.
