*Hayes' POV*
Hailey's mom turned to me and smiled. The akward level just went up. Her mom looked into my eyes and said "so have you had any other girl friends?"

I looked down to the floor and totally forgot about Julia-my sort of girl friend that I was planning on breaking up with because she just uses me for popularity-I couldn't let Hailey, or her mom, know about this because one; it would break Hailey's heart and two; I wasn't going to date her much longer. I tried to make it seem like I had a really messy break up and just said "I've had a few, but the only relationship that meant the most to me (I stuttered) is not a thing anymore."

I tried so hard to make it seem like I was hurt. I guess it worked on her mom because she didn't ask me another question for a while, but Hailey was another story. She looked into my eyes and whispered "I'm so sorry that happened, so do you have another Girl friend right now?"
She raised her eyebrows slightly as if she was waiting for me to tell her yes. I simply said "no" in the kindest way possible because I didn't want to hurt her. She seemed to have believed me then, but I wasn't 100% sure.
*Hailey's POV*
I really hoped that my mom wouldn't ask Hayes any questions because I didn't want him to feel uncomfortable and plus my mom gets really nosy at times. Of course, though, she had to ask the worst possible question, one about his love life. I really liked him in all but I didn't want to find out if he was dating anyone right now because that would put me in a pretty bad mood. I was concerned at that moment because he looked down and hesitated. I was so nervous but was relieved, which probably isn't very good, that he wasn't dating anyone. I pulled him to the side because I didn't have full faith in him, but after I spoak to him I felt better. We began to talk again, and then my mom turned back around and she asked Hayes more questions. I tried to stop her but all that flowed out of my mouth was air no words. She asked Hayes "so do you have any future plans?" I saw the panic in Hayes' eyes and I tried to signal to my sister but she was busy talking to Kyle.

Hayes paused and said "umm... I haven't really thought about it. I've been pretty busy latley and am enjoying life in the now." I saw the disappointment in my mom's eyes as Ally finally got my memo and talked to my mom.

I turned to Hayes, my face beet red! I said "I'm so sorry about my mom she's always so nosy whenever I'm with a guy because my last boyfriend was well.... He wasn't the best person. So since then my mom always has to get to know ANY of my guy friends."

Hayes' mouth formed a slight smile. He said "no it's all right, I understand why your mother would be so curious." Just then Hayes moves closer and leaned in as if he was about to...kiss me!!!! I couldn't believe it. I was just a normal girl. I leaned in also, but then my mom turned around and we both froze and backed up instantaneously. My mom's voice was stern "Hailey dear, could you go buy your dad a coke...alone!" I nodded my head instantly and said yes. I walked away with fear and panic in my mind. waѕ ѕнe goιng тo ѕend нιм away? never leт мe ѕpeaĸ тo нιм agaιn? waѕ ѕнe goιng тo call тнe copѕ? waѕ ѕнe goιng тo ĸιll мe? waѕ... My mind gained common sense as I walked to the drink stand. "One coke please."

The worker said sure and then asked if I was alright. I obviously wasn't ok, but I said I was fine. I walked back to the line fearful and saw my mom standing there, but no Hayes.
