"[Y/n]-san?" turning around I saw Genya, one of Sanemi's younger siblings, i smiled at him "Yes Gen-chan? anything you need?" he pouted like a kid "I though you'd stop calling me that now that I'm a demon slayer.." he frowned, i noted the embarrassment in his voice too. I picked one of the bed-sheets that we're just washed to hang up, "Then what can I do for you Genya-kun?" "If you aren't too busy, could you go look for Sanemi?" I heard he went on a mission and has yet to return.." I chuckled at him "Sure thing Genya-kun, but i have to finish the laundry first." he nodded and thanked me, walking away to lord knows where.

After hanging up all the laundry to dry, i took the basket back inside and went to grab  my blade. I went to find where Gen-chan went, and found him coming back from a mission, "Genya!" I called out to him, he looked in my direction, and jogged towards me, "[Y/n]-san what is it?" i ruffled his hair, i saw him as my little brother, "You've gotten taller Gen-chan! Now where was your brother's mission?" he was in thought for a few seconds before he remembered "He went to the mountain nearby, please be careful [Y/n]-san." i nodded and patted his back, it became a habit of mine ever since i met him, he was only a kid back then of course , but now he's even taller than me. I smiled to myself and I remember memories.

Reaching the foot of the mountain I inhaled and went in. Walking around not making a single noise was making the trip more eerie than it  should have been. I stepped on something hard, looking down I saw something green, it was reflecting too.. confused I picked it up, and was horrified to find it was Sanemi's Nichirin Blade, I looked around frantically and soon found bits and pieces of white cloth. Running through the wooded mountain trying to see if it led to Sanemi, I found him lying there and a demon about to pounce on him. Quickly unsheathing my sword I ran towards the demon using my first form I made a clean cut and decapitated it, I cleaned the blade and sheathed it, running towards Sanemi, "Nemi? Nemi?! Wake up!" I began violently shaking him, until he groaned "Nemi?" his brows furrowed, his eyes still shut.

Checking his pulse, it was normal, just a bit slower than the usual pulse, letting out a relieved sigh, I took his scabbard and put it in my belt, and sheathed his sword. I managed to put him on my back, and made my way down the mountain. Carrying someone was easy, at least for me, you get used to it after you've carried plenty of people to the butterfly estate. The hard part was getting down the mountain, since it was jagged and there was no direct path, I'm assuming it took me close to an hour and a half or more to get down. walking towards the butterfly estate, I didn't come across anyone, after all it was midnight, no sane person would be out at this time. reaching the estate, I went in and waited for someone to open the door.

When Shinobu opened the door and saw me, she smiled, until she saw I had an unconscious Sanemi and ushered me in and took me to a vacant room and helped me put Sanemi down on the bed, I stretched and thanked her, knowing that Nemi was in capable hands I went to the other vacant room she provided and slept like a baby. I woke up at four in the morning and went to see how Nemi was doing. He was dead unconscious, at this point I started worrying and went to find Shinobu to ask her why he was unconscious in the first place. I found her walking around, and went to ask her some questions "Shinobu-san!" she turned around her famous smile on her face "Yes [Y/n]-san?" "Do you know why Sanemi-kun is still unconscious?" "Sadly I can't say for sure." "Then..is he going to be okay?" she nodded and I thanked her, and started walking back to where Sanemi's room was.

Opening the door I saw he was finally awake "Nemi!" I exclaimed, running to him and hugging him "[Y/n]?" he asked I let go "In the flesh!" I smiled "Where..? Oh.. we're at the butterfly estate huh?" I nodded "Why am I here anyway, I was in a forest." "Gen-chan was worried as to why you hadn't returned, he himself was going on a mission so he asked  me to check on you, lucky I did too, a demon was about to make you its dinner." he then realized his blade was no where on him "Where's my blade?" he asked, clearly pissed, as per-usual "Here." I put it on his lap "And you.." i raised an eyebrow "And me what?" "Why didn't you tell him to ask someone else, you could've gotten seriously hurt!" he started yelling "What if it was one of the 12 kizuki?! What would've you done then?!" I felt hurt, he's always so harsh with words "[Y/n]." he called my name "[Y/n] [L/n]." I still didn't answer he sighed "[N/n].?" I looked at him frowning "I.." he paused and seemed to regret yelling "I'm sorry... I was just scared.." i looked back down "Of what? You're never scared" i glanced at his face, he seemed to not want to answer "Of..." "Of?" he let out a frustrated groan "Of losing you.." i looked at him "Why? I was at home all day." "After I finished slaying that demon on my previous mission I heard you crying for help on that mountain, so I ran to help you, when I got there, I didn't see you, but a demon instead. I chased after it, but I lost it, and then I saw you... well not you you, but a demon who shifted to look like you, it was all bloodied and bruised, and the fact that it looked exactly like you, made me scared. I lost all my sensibility and ran towards it, but I got knocked out.."

"Nemi..." I said "I never want to see you hurt [Y/n]." I smiled as he looked up at me and opened his arms, he never seems like the kind of guy to make time for people he loves, just demon slaying, but it's times like these that make me love him even more. I embraced him as he closed his arms around me tightly, never wanting to let go.
