[Y/n]'s POV.
"CAW! You are to join Shinobu Kocho on her mission CAW!" I looked up at my kasugai crow, and nodded, walking towards the location ,I thought of what I would do after the mission 'maybe I could get a snack, I'm really hungry, man I should've really eaten before this...' I let out a sad sigh, thinking about how I wouldn't be dead hungry right now. As I made it to the location, which was a very dark forest with tons, and I mean tons of animal bones, and some of them were still bloody.
I walked around when suddenly I felt someone behind me, as I turned around I saw Shinobu approaching me, I greeted her and she greeted me back. She went on to explain that the demon was fast, and changed directions and wouldn't let her near it, so she requested me to come so that I could be the bait. I nodded as she finished talking, looking around she 'disappeared' and I took this as my cue to try and lure the demon out. I walked around making sure my Nichirin blade was hidden so that the demon would think i was a helpless wanderer, and surprisingly it worked, soon enough a demon came forward and babbled about me being one of the ripest humans he's ever smelled, since he was busy talking about how he would devour me, he didn't notice shinobu. Well I spoke too soon, he turned around and spotted the insect pillar ,and used his blood demon art to attack her, she dodged in time, but still got hit. I took this as my opportunity to kill the demon, and while it was distracted I sliced his head clean on, I then sheathed my blade and ran over to shinobu. She was fine ,her breathing was stable, she didn't lose any blood, and there was no sign of injury. When shinobu woke up however, she wasn't...well shinobu, she looked at me and smiled from ear to ear and jumped around me in a circle "Shinobu! What's going on?" She stopped and looked at me "What do you mean [Y/n]? Nothing going on." She said still having that huge smile on her face "Shinobu, your acting very strange, is everything alright?" She frowned at me "[Y/n], I don't understand you, of course everything is alright, after all you're here!" She exclaimed at the end.
3rd Person POV.
As [Y/n] tried to understand why the girl in front of them was acting weird, they couldn't figure it out, no matter how hard they tried. To [Y/n] Shinobu was acting like an energetic little puppy, if [Y/n] told Shinobu to not run, the girl wouldn't run and would be walking beside them, if they told her to calm down, the pillar would calm down. [Y/n] soon had a theory about what had happened to shinobu, they thought that the demon's blood demon art had something to do with how the girl was acting. She couldn't ask for help from anyone ,since she was the only slayer they sent to aid shinobu...
Soon their stomach grumbled "Oh...I completely forgot about food...Hey Shinobu, do you want to go find something to eat?" They turned to the girl who was running around ,but had stopped when they asked her the question "Ah...I am kinda hungry , so yes! Let's go get something to eat [Y/n]!" Shinobu replied while jumping up and striking a pose 'this is gonna be a long day...' was all that [Y/n] thought...
They walked to the nearest town, which had a restaurant, [Y/n] went and ordered Ramen for both themself and shinobu, when they got the food, they turned around to give the insect pillar her food, but when they couldn't find any trace of the girl, they panicked, holding two Bowls of steaming ramen, they looked all over, but couldn't find her. As the tired [Y/n] sat down on a bench somewhere, shinobu appeared in front of them "[Y/n]! I found some flowers, here I made this crown for you!" She said while placing a flower crown on the slayer in front of her "Oh! Is that one for me? Thanks!" She said as she sat next to them.
After they finished the ramen, they went to the demon slayer corps, as they returned shinobu started getting tired and almost fell if it weren't for [Y/n] to catch her. [Y/n] went to the butterfly mansion and placed shinobu in the care of Aoi, and then they went to the corps. When they got there, they saw all of the Hashiras talking as soon as she arrived, the master's arrival was announced, they had a meeting and [Y/n] stayed afterwards to tell oyakata sama about the successful mission "I see, but where is shinobu?" They looked at him "She got hit by the demon's blood demon art, she's fine right now, but she's resting..." he nodded and dismissed them.
When they went back to the butterfly mansion, shinobu greeted them "Ah, [Y/n] I was told you brought me back here, thank you." They smiled at her "It's no problem Shinobu, glad to see your doing better!" They replied and smiled, "I'm afraid I need to go back home, good night shinobu." They waved the girl good bye, and went back to their house, and immediately went to bed. Falling asleep quickly.
