(hi hi! Just though I should let ya'll know that in this story, their mom lives with them still)

I ran around the back yard and jumped in my inflatable pool, mama said I was still too small to play in the big pool, but I love my tiny pool! It's so colorful and I can splash around all by myself.. That's really sad.. I don't have a big brother, or big sister.. I have no one to play with all summer! I'm the only 5 year old in this place..

One day, a new family moved in next to us, "Mama! Mama! Do they have kids?!" I asked, hoping she would say yes, and I could go play with them. "I don't know [Y/n], how about we invite them after they've moved in hm?" she asked with a smile "Really?!" I exclaimed feeling super duper happy!

A few days after the other family, whom you learned where the Rengoku family, moved in entirely, your parents decided to host a neighborhood BBQ. When the new family arrived, you were ecstatic when you learned they had a young son a few years older than yourself, they also had an infant, also a boy, and they were overall a happy family. The parents went and introduced themselves and you went to the young boy "Hello! My name is [Y/n]! What's yours?" I asked, he turned to me with a smile on his face "My name is Kyojuro! Mice to meet you [Y/n]!" It was a BBQ, and here that meant pool party! He was wearing white swim shorts that had a flame pattern, I was wearing my candy swimsuit, I grabbed his hand and pulled him along telling him about the pool "Come! Come! Let's go swimming!" He started running with me and as fast as our tiny legs could take us, we reached the inflatable pool.

We both jumped in and started splashing each other with water, We kept playing until it was time to eat, after we ate, we played in my sandpit "Kyojuro! Wanna build a sand house with me?" I asked he nodded "Let's make it big!" He added. After we played in the sand pit, we had to be sprayed with water to get the sand off of us. , after that, they gave us watermelons, and we sat by the big pool, our feet in the water, both our energies had been drained, we spent all morning till evening running around and playing.

I heard someone say 'those kids' and knowing just me and him were kids in the party, I looked at him "They're talking about us.." I whispered feeling like a spy "Shhh! let's try and listen!" he whisper-yelled "They look so cute together!" "I heard little [Y/n] always wanted another kid to play with in the neighborhood." It was a bunch of ladies, they started giggling afterwards. I turned to him and he looked at me, he yawned, and right after I yawned "I know a good place to rest.." I mumbled "Let's go then!" he said in his cheery voice, but sill was sleepy.

I walked over to  where my tent was set up "I always come in here to take naps in the morning.." I yawned and sat down patting the place next to me. We both laid down and soon fell asleep.

3rd Person POV.

As the two kids fell asleep in the [F/c] tent, everybody noticed they were gone, panic rose in the mothers as they looked for their precious children "Ruka calm down, they're safe." "Shinjuro! How can you be so calm?!" She almost yelled [Y/n]'s father made a shushing motion "They're both asleep in [Y/n]'s tent over there." He pointed towards it. Both women calmed down and went to see for themselves. It was as [D/n] had said, both children were sound asleep.

After the party, [Y/n] would sometimes sneak over to Kyojuro's house and they'd play with his water guns, and he'd go over to her house to play. It was a tradition for the two, they never got in troulbe either.

At the ages of 18(Kyojuro) and 16 ([Y/n]), [Y/n] confessed her feeling to Kyojuro, He only smiled wider at her as he told her that he also had feeling for her. [Y/n] just said "Then wait till I'm 20! I swear I'll marry you!" She exclaimed.
