3rd Person POV
As [Y/n] walked around the town, she felt something hit her head, turning around, she saw no one there. She continued walking and soon came to her front door, there she saw a single { insert flower } , confused she looked around trying to see if anyone was there, or someone who'd seen the person at least, but she saw no one. As she walked into her house, she stared at the flower, her mind wondering how this person knew she liked this type specifically. Making her way to the kitchen, she looked for an empty vase to put the single flower in 'It won't last, such a shame, I really like how this one smells too...' she let out a sigh she didn't know she was holding, placing the flower in one of the small vases she picked it up and made her way to her bedroom, she put the vase on her vanity.
The next morning she got dressed and went to make herself some breakfast, but as she opened her fridge she saw she didn't have much. Grabbing her pouch she walked into the town and went straight to the farmers market. After she bought all her groceries, she was about to make her way back home, but something stopped her from moving, not a force, but she couldn't bring herself to move much, because her eyes were glued to a white haired male, his back facing her. [Y/n] smiled knowing who it was, Sanemi, one of the Hashiras , also known as the wind pillar, she shook her head smiling and walked the rest of the way home,arms slowly going numb because of all the heavy weight on them. As she was about to open the door , she saw something stuffed into the bottom of her door, placing the groceries down she pulled the stuffed paper out of her doorway, she opened the door and moved the groceries in and put them in their respective places, and then sat down , the paper being an envelope , as she opened it she saw {insert flower} petals inside along with the smell of {insert flower}. As she read the letter she was confused, it looked to her like the person didn't know how to write poems much. She put the paper envelope away not before placing the letter and petals inside though.
This kept on happening for two months, [Y/n] talked about it with her best friend ,Sanemi, he didn't say much, but his face was red, and he couldn't look into her eyes for a good hour or two. [Y/n] was too oblivious to notice how Sanemi's behavior has changed around her, like he would be much more protective of her, he hugged her a lot, he also said that he missed her, and that he liked her a lot, [Y/n] would always reply with 'I missed you too' or 'I like you too nemi' but she didn't know what he actually meant.
One day ,when both [Y/n] and Sanemi were walking in the town, a random guy came up behind poor unsuspecting [Y/n], grabbing her waist and pulled her back into his chest, she didn't know how it had happened but in less that 5 seconds, the guy was on the ground in pain holding his face and scrambled up and ran away, she turned to Sanemi on to have him hugged her tight, she hugged him back. After their hug they continued walking but this time, Sanemi's arm was around her shoulders, she didn't think much of it.
Another day they had a picnic in the woods when it had become sunset, almost turning to night, and they were about to leave, when a demon showed up, and attacked the pair, [Y/n] wasn't a demon slayer, she was just a girl, but luckily Sanemi had his Nichirin blade with him and soon ended the demon, and then ran over to [Y/n] to make sure that she wasn't harmed, but she had been thrown back, hitting her back against a tree, and the air being knocked out of her, she was unconscious and that made Sanemi worry, no that's an understatement, he was mortified, fear was eating him inside out faster than the speed of light.
Not wasting a second he picked the unconscious girl up, holding her close to him, and ran, he ran all the way to the butterfly estate, when he got there, he practically woke shinobu up himself, not waiting for Aoi at all, shinobu still half asleep, was confused, until she saw the unconscious girl in his arms, she understood him and told him to put her down on one of the beds and to go out of the room, so that she could check to girl. He obeyed , not wasting another second he practically dashed into a room and placed her down on the bed, leavening quickly afterwards.
When shinobu came out of the room she gave Sanemi her usual smile and told him that the girl was fine now, she lucking didn't damage anything major, but she ended up getting a few bruises and almost fractured her spine. Sanemi walked into the room and sat on the chair next to the bed. After a few weeks she was free to leave the estate, but she kept on thanking shinobu, and all she said was that she had to thank her friend for rushing her to help. As she finally walked out she was bear hugged, she felt her shoulder get wet, as she realized what was happening she hugged Sanemi tight.after they pulled away from their bear hug, he told her that she would stay with him, because he didn't feel she was safe alone in her house. She agreed because she knew he wasn't just saying things, he was right, her town had a lot of guys, those kind of guys...
One day when [Y/n] and Sanemi where sitting down on the back porch, Sanemi cleaning his blade, and [Y/n] just staring at the sky, everything had been perfect, [Y/n] was never in danger and She had stayed with him for a few months now when suddenly "Nemi?" She asked her voice below a whisper, he answered with a hum "When you said you liked me a lot, did you mean it?" She mumbled , this caught Sanemi off guard as he looked at her, "No, I didn't..." he said going back to cleaning his sword, before putting it in its sheath . . . . "I meant that I loved you [Y/n]."
