You and Rui have been together for the past 5 months, you saw him one day, and you developed feelings for the dark haired boy. You had no idea how his condition was, but when you did find out, you were going to go to the end of the world for him. His parents honestly didn't expect anyone to love someone who was in their son's condition, it was a shock for both when you knocked on their door.
You didn't tell them your feeling no, you just said you wanted to be friends with their son, and in honesty you did, with a side of wanting to make him smile and laugh. At first they were suspected that you wanted to befriend him to make fun of him, so they wouldn't close the door 100% of the way, so they could hear what you were talking about. It was kinda awkward at first, he was shy, reallyshy too. "I'm [Y/n] what's your name?" You asked with a bright smile, "Rui..." it wasn't a loud reply, barely audible at that, but nonetheless you hear it "That's a very pretty name!" You beamed, Rui didn't think someone could be so happy talking to someone that was always sick. Both of you chatted mainly about things he does, which broke your heart when you found out he did nothing except lay on his futon, and be cared for. You yourself were very extroverted, you also saw that his room was very dull, no color was evident in there.
After you left and told his parents that you were going to come back soon, you ran home, giggling all the way, your heart was pounding, gosh you really did fall for him didn't you? When you reached home, you opened the door and saw your mom and dad, your dad was reading a book, and your mom was working on her embroidery, they looked at you and saw your joyful face. You sat next to your mom and told her everything "Mom?" she replied with a soft hum "Is it possible to love someone so much?" you asked your heart beating faster, a smile growing on your face and butterflies flapping around in your stomach, before your mother answered "Do you love someone [Y/n]?" you nodded "Why do you love him?" she asked a smile on her face as she saw yours "I don't know, I saw him one day, and I felt my heart beat for him, I would go to the end of the world for him!" you happily said, your parents laughing at your purity and joy "Do you even know his name? Or did you just see him?" you pouted at your mother "Of course I know his name mom! He's a friend too! His name is Rui." your mother froze at the name "You don't mean the sick boy do you?" you nodded "No I do mean the sick boy." your mother sat you down "Honey I won't interfere with who you want to love, but his illness has no cure. I don't want you to be heartbroken when he... Leaves.." even though your mom didn't say 'die' you knew what she was talking about.
You looked up at your mom, and then at your dad who nodded with your mom's statement, and you smiled" I know that mom, but I'm willing to go to the end of the world for him, and I really do love him." your mom had tears in her eyes as she put down her embroidery and pulled you in for a hug. She was the one who cried, you started to cry too.
The next day before heading to Rui's house you went and found some beautiful flowers, you wanted to make a small bouquet and you did that you found some blue Irises, some light blue delphinium, baby's breath and some yellow Delilahs. You put those flowers to gather and looked at the bouquet, smiling at the blue Irises which reminded you of Rui's deep blue eyes. You walked over to Rui's house and knocked on the door, being opened by Rui's mother she looked at you and was surprised you heard her mutated "you really came back?" nodding on her inaudible question "Is it okay if I visit Rui? I brought some flowers." you said extending the flowers. She nodded and let you in "Thank you!" she smiled at you and walked you towards Rui's room, where Rui's dad was, he was shocked to see you as well. When you entered they both left, Rui's mom burst into tears, she didn't believe someone would want to be with her weak frail son, but you corrected her.
"Hello!" you said, sitting down near Rui, he looked at you "you came back?" you nodded, and looked around the room, finding a vase. You stood up and Rui though you'd leave, becauseyou left his room, but to his surprise you came back with a jug of water, and two cups. You placed the cups down and walked over to the vase, putting it somewhere where the sun would hit it. You filled it with water and placed the jug near the cups, and then you grabbed the bouquet you made and placed it in the vase. Satisfied with the addition of color to the full room, you went and sat next to Rui "Are you thirsty?" you asked, shaking his head he looked at you "why did you bring flowers?" you let out a short giggle "well your room is really dull, there's is no color and I though you'd like something lively." his face heated up and he thanked you. You and Rui became really close, and soon enough both of you confessed your feelings, you both were really happy.
One day when you were heading to Rui's house, a demon was the one who opened the door, you where shocked. You got into a fighting stance "Who are you?!" "[Y/n], it's me, Rui." You glared at the demon "What did you do with Rui!?" He let out a sigh, and pulled a blue Iris from a vase "This was one of the flowers you put in my bouquet, remember?" You let your guard down a little "Why did I give you the bouquet? Answer that!" He grabbed your arm and pulled you inside the house "Because you felt my room was dull, you wanted to give color to my room." You felt your arms drop to your sides "Rui..?" He nodded and opened his arms, indicating his craving for human touch, you never really hugged him, just put your hand on his. You looked at him and ran into his arms "Rui..." you whispered "[Y/n]...I love you." He said you hugged him tighter "I love you too Rui." You both stayed like that for half an hour "Rui..?" Getting a soft hum as a reply you continued "Why? Why Rui?" "Isn't it obvious [Y/n]? I don't want to be so weak and frail." You looked at him, staring into his now white irises, your hand cupped his left cheek and you stared into his eyes lovingly "If your happy because of it, I'm also happy..." you finished with a smile, Rui smiled back at you.
