1. that's life
"cause this fine old world, it keeps spinnin' around."

Taehyung's eyes fly open in the early hours of the morning. the sun doesn't peek through the curtains, it's still dark outside. most of the world is asleep but the young singer is wide awake.

4 : 00 AM

as more time passes, Taehyung realises more and more how his life is constantly changing. a year ago, he needed six hours to have enough energy throughout the day but now, four hours are enough. he's up, awake and his brown eyes are ready to lay on the day. to see life change pass his sight is something worth living for.

he sits in the luxurious bed, straightening his back and glancing at the size of his bed. it seems so empty, he knows, but these personal, random thoughts quickly rush out of his head when he hears his alarm. once again, he's woken up before being told to and he can't help the smug, smallest of smiles that folds onto his lips.

being lonely has always come naturally to Taehyung. from a young age, he's had to make his own footprint in the world. there was no one to help him, independence moulded into his life at a time when he was supposed to rely on others. his parents eventually stopped caring about even their rights as parents and now he cares about himself, earning for himself. his loneliness is not something he's fussed about, he saw it coming— especially with the fame.

he quite enjoys the liberty and relaxing nature that comes with being alone. his life works according to his own time, everything is manufactured and manipulated according to his needs. so sure loneliness sometimes feels heavy on the rich artist's shoulders but never in his heart. that is the key. anyway, he's able to find the right 'cures' despite not noticing the inevitable temperance of what he uses to distract himself from being alone at night— women, drugs, alcohol... whatever it may be, it does the job.

so at four am, Taehyung brushes his teeth squeaky clean and grabs the landline phone at his dark, wooden desk. the man stands, still dressed in his nightwear as his hand leans across his desk, holding up his posture. if Taehyung's awake, everyone under his control and management has to also be awake... no he's not like that. the man is patient, he waits until a more suitable time before he contacts relevant people and starts to receive calls of importance.

6 : 00 AM

two hours later, Taehyung stands in front of his wide window that stretches across an entire wall to show the morning landscape of the American city. he requested an apartment with a grand view, he's a man that appreciates beauty and would like to see his city every morning and every night.

the phone rings and his eyes squint, glaring at the sunshine that projects through gaps of red, bricked buildings. everything seems so manmade to Taehyung that he wishes for a moment that he lived in the countryside. but no, the young man loves the city, it's where he belongs. New York. it is after all, where the fame resides, it is where the people live and his music comes from these very common streets of people. being here means being less alone.

Taehyung licks his lips, still staring out of the window. his eyes focus on the people who look tiny from how high up he is, in his private apartment. the phone eventually connects through. the singer acknowledges the morning greeting before delving right into business. "can i have a tie, a bow tie? bring it with you. do you have any cigarettes? ah you don't..." Taehyung hums. "that should be fine. i'll have the blazer you showed me and how about those leather gloves too, right?"
