7. accidents will happen
"So if you fall in just that way, oh wouldn't I be thrilled to hear you say. I had a lovely accident today."

a man with fame is a man exposed.

Taehyung knows. as soon as he was brought into the world, a sense of awareness and great knowledge was bestowed upon him. he never used it to his advantage but he has a feeling he has a lot of time left. he knows of exposing fame the most when he steps out of his apartment building, to be bombarded with flashy photographers and all he does is smile and wave. he smiles so widely, he wonders if they can sense the genuineness– he wonders if some think it's fake.

he doesn't mind the fame. he knew he'd be famous, he made it happen. the thing about Kim Taehyung is he knew he wanted this future for himself. he couldn't see through the lens to his future unless it had fame, admiration and remembrance. the young man wants to make his mark in the world– not the way his mother did by roughening up her husband, by disobeying people and acting so full of arrogance.

Taehyung simply doesn't want to be what he fears.

yet he acts and lives in a way that wouldn't disappoint his tough, expecting mother. she wants him to do well yes but he wants to be better than that.

does she, his mother, mean well? the man's mind resurfaces back to a childhood memory of him being pushed down the stairs. he winces, stubbing out his cigarette– he doesn't know why he's even thinking of these things, they happened a long time ago, there's no need to reminisce on what was. yet, it's all he does.

Taehyung, the popular singer in the city of New York adjusts his black coloured hat before making his way inside the cafe. he likes to be around people and today is a good day for that. the popular, coffee smelling area is bustling with people– he seems to be the only man that stands out. there's mostly women here and he... is not complaining at all. in fact, he seats himself beside a lady who's slowly stirring a cup of very milky tea.

Taehyung orders himself a cup of tea, deep voice rushing through the reddening ears of the waitress as she takes a moment to process who's seated at the cafe desk. it's freaking Kim Taehyung! he looks away, smiling a little. now his eyes remain in one, distinct place– the woman beside him.

sure, she's not the first person he noticed when he walked in. hell, there are gorgeous women here at the cafe– on friendly dates, passing time and sipping modestly but this woman is alone. he knows he shouldn't pick on alone, vulnerable women but he has no intention of exactly picking on her. he isn't that kind of man...

the shiny stools are allocated close to each other so he can sense her intimately. she however, doesn't seem to notice the man and he'd be lying if he said, it didn't irritate him a little. the woman stands out from the crowds, a part of him is now surprised at how he didn't lay his chestnut eyes on her until he sat down.

she's short, skinny– no great hips or fleshy legs. she's dressed in a simple dress, ending at her knees with a silk scarf wrapped around her black hair. her black hair, Taehyung gulps, holy hell. it's frizzy, curly with long cascading waves down her back as a few trimmed bangs frame her face. it looks like it's been cut by herself. despite not knowing her at all, he can imagine it. he can't see the colour of her sharp eyes, just the corner of her lips and how she has a mole on her neck.
