"Do I have to do this?"

Glynda groaned, Grace tightened Glynda's dress more, Causing Glynda to gasp for air.

"Yes, you do! I'm forcing you."

Grace said, tied the back of Glynda's dress, Glynda looked down at the long purple silk dress, which revealed one of her legs.

"Can I.. at least wear-"

"Nope! Your already in the dress Glyn."

Grace said and moved Glynda's head up so she was looking in the mirror, she sighed.

"Grace.. my husband just called off our engagement. I don't think I want to go on a date with my ex-"

"Yes you do! Because of you do I get to rub it in Gabe's face."

"Rub what in his face?"

"I'm a better match maker!"

Grace said excitedly, Glynda sighed.

"Did you guys make a bet for bragging rights again?"

"Yes we did, my dear sister."

She said, patting Glynda's head, Glynda huffed and blew some of her hair up for a moment before it floated back down to the side of her face.

"This isn't fair! Grace!"

Before Glynda could continue, Grace put her finger on Glynda's lips.

"Nope! I don't wanna hear it! Your gonna have fun tonight, and I get to rub it in Gabe's face!"

Grace clapped excitedly, Glynda crossed her arms.

"So your using me?"

"Oh! Don't think of it like that- it's like.. a game of sibling rivalry! Just for fun!"

"That involved using the middle child?"

Glynda added, Grace sighed

"N O! I already answered that. We're not using anyone! We're having fun, and so will you be tonight!"

Grace pushed her out of the room.

"She's waiting.. at the restaurant across the gay bar."

Before Glynda could say anything, Grace slammed and locked the door, leaving her sister in the warm moon light on the beach. Glynda sighed, the gay bar was only three blocks away.. but it felt so far..

"Grace! Open the door!"

Her sister went to the window next to the door and shook her head.

"Oh come on!"

Glynda groaned and started her walk to the restaurant, she felt nervous and didn't know why. Despite the warm weather of the beach, Glynda felt goosebumps run down her arms which seemed cold, this was a date that would seem forever and she could already tell. She held both her arms, shuddering as she did and looking up, seeing the dark sky lined up with white dots and the broken moon that seemed so close-

Suddenly she hit the block the restaurant was on. She could- run away.. but she decided not to. She had done it before, and she learned running away from her feelings were dumb. She hated the fact Grace could control her feelings.. and she did it frequently.

Glynda opened the door to the restaurant, inside was a huge place, the ground glass tiles of black and white, black tables and booths every 6 feet, a large long bar/counter in the back of the place, fancy and tall plants hid in every corner, a large open way led to two gender-ruled bathroom. She kept quite about that despite her hatred for gender-ruled bathrooms.. she looked around, one person at the counter got her attention, he then pointed to a booth next to a large window open for outside view, Cinder sat on one side, presumably waiting for her. She walked to the table and sat down across from Cinder, who wore a long orange dress, with fluffy cotton around the sleeves. She turned away from the window to face Glynda.

"Wow.. you look great-"

Cinder said, Glynda smiled

"Thanks, you too-"

Before they could carry on, a waitress was over to their table, notepad in hand and a pen in the other.

"Drinks?"

***

The whole night was the opposite of what Glynda had imagined. She thought it would all be awkward and they would both go home, but she had fun, and after they went back to quickly get dressed into comfortable clothes and sit on the beach, as the sun set and the waves inched closer to the shore. They sat next to each other in silence, soaking in the quiet and listening to the satisfying noise of waves crashing against the sand.

"I know this sounds.. really bad but- I'm glad I called off me and James engagement- because I haven't had this much fun in years-"

She said quietly, Cinder smiled

"I'm glad tonight was entertaining. This was really fun- I'm kinda glad your sister forced us to go on a date"

"Me too-"

Glynda giggles a bit, Cinder inched closer

"I- can I-"

Before she could continue, Glynda kissed her
