A Goodwitch exposed

It was a Monday like any other.

Except it wasn't.

It was JSPR's first vital festival. They had been training for four months for this. It was finally here..

Jack's POV:

Mom was freaking out about them saying my last name. What was wrong with it? It was the same as hers. Maybe she didn't want people to know she had a son? But everyone in Vale already knew me. Maybe people from other citys or academys? I didn't know but I wanted them to announce my real name.

Glynda's POV:

I was on the phone with Ozpin begging him to make up some last name for Jack so when Ironwood heard his name he wouldn't be confused when a boy with the last name of Goodwitch that was 17 years old (we were dating 17 years ago)

"Glynda you'll have to tell James someday."

He sighed and I whined a bit

"Yea! Some day!"

"Maybe today is that day-"

"The day that I marth up to the general and tell him I've been hiding his son for 17 years?!"

He didn't answer for a moment and hesitated

"I- yes. Maybe it is today.."

I sighed loudly

"Fine.. fine. I'll explain to him how this all happened after the festival."

I can feel his smile through the phone

"See ya Later Glyn."

"Bye Ozzy-"

I hung up and sighed and looked at Jack who had his eyes widened as he stared at me

"My dads a general?!"

I nodded

"I guess you'll meet him today too- he's the general of Atlas military."

"My dad is James Ironwood?! Mom are you joking? This isn't funny-"

I shook my head and laughed

"Kiddo.. he's like one of my best friends. And we used to be more then just friends.."

"Well what happened between you two?"

We were silent for a moment and I sat on the couch, crossing my legs and putting my hand on my forehead and sighing dramatically causing Jack to giggle a bit.

"Well.. when I got pregnant with you, I was scared he'd leave me. And I was.. deeply in love and I didn't want that. So,.. I told him that we should both focus more on work. And Ozpin told him that he wasn't allowed near me for awhile cause I was extremely depressed. But really I was just hiding my pregnant with the help of Ozpin."

Jack looked up at me with a smile

"So I get to meet dad today!?"
