Later that day, I was going to move back into my house with Qrow and Sam, and James would leave. I went to my house a bit earlier.
"Jack..?"
I opened his door slowly, he was crying on his bed.
"Jack-"
"I'm so sorry/"
He said and hugged me, I smiled a bit and hugged him back.
"It's fine hunny. But.. if you want to go to Atlas then you can. It's a good opportunity for you, you'd get to see more of Remnant."
He nodded a bit.
"I do want to go.. but I'll miss you."
"You'll be back sometime."
I whispered and he nodded, picking up a bag he packed earlier.
"I love you Jack."
"I love you too, mom."

I sat on a bench in Beacon's court yard as James and Jack got into the airship during the night. I hugged Jack one more time.
"I'll see you later."
He said and I nodded, I started to tear up, knowing he wouldn't be back for awhile.
"I love you."
"I love you too mom."
