The bet - pt.2

So me and Sam started. I was hesitant, once again remembering what happened last time to mom when she got caught up with James and Qrow.

"It'll be fine. Mom's not gonna run away again."

Sam said, as if she's read my mind.

"I know... it's just maybe she hasn't changed at all.."

"She has. Me and Qrow went to see her every month, she's changed for the better Jack."

Sam said, I smiled a bit, then rolled my eyes when I noticed what Sam was turning this into

"I see you haven't changed."

"No this isn't a 'I'm her favorite' thing! I'm serious Jack."

Sam hugged me, I sighed and hugged her back.

"Ok. Let's do this."

I had to be walking around Vale all day, and I still haven't found my dad. I felt so stupid. Of course he's at Beacon, probably talking to uncle Oz.

Sam's POV:

I changed my number on dad's phone to the number of his favorite restaurant in Vale and texted him:

'Your reservation for two with a Glynda Goodwitch is set. See you at 6:00!'

I looked over at him as he picked his scroll up.

"What- did Glynda make reservations?"

He muttered.

"Guess I'm not complaining. It's the best place in Vale."

I texted mom the same thing.

'I didn't make reservations?'

She texted back, why didn't I think she'd say that.

'No, one that goes by Qrow did. Have fun!'

She left that message on read and Jack texted me.

'She's leaving to go to that fancy restaurant Qrow likes. What did you do?'

'You'll see later little brother'

I sent him and looked at dad.

"Glynda made reservations for you two?"

"I guess."

He said coming out of his room in a tuxedo, I smirked.

"Getting classy are we? Is this a date?"

"Maybe."

He smiled and I stood up.

"Have fun. You deserve this."

I said and he left.

"Success."

'Top that. Qrow and Glynda are going on a date.'

'It's on Sam.'
