Last days

No one's POV

   Rest of the weeks before summer break passed without any major events. You, Noya and Tanaka ate lunch together every day and slower got closer. They even gave you volleyball lessons after one of the practices, you were an alright spiker but when Noya tried to coach you on retrieving you failed miserably. 

   You found that you fit in with the team well, keeping Noya and Tanaka's chaos under some supervision while being a good help to the others. Everyone seemed to enjoy your presence, well besides Tsukki, he didn't even realize you were there for the first two weeks. 

   Finally the last week of school was upon you; on one hand you were happy to be able to get a break from school but at the same time, before anyone could relax you would have to pass the Final Exams. You were stressed but had some confidence that you wouldn't get awful marks. Noya and Tanaka on the other hand were having some trouble wrapping their heads around a few of the concepts. The three of you had arranged a few study sessions throughout the week with the other second years. Tanaka would be hosting most of the since everyone else's houses were to small. 

   It was Monday and the second years were heading off for their first study session, tomorrow's exams were English and Math. Since you had lived in an English speaking country for part of your life you would be the primary tutor for that subject. Ennoshita would be the main for Math. Once at Tanaka's house the boys made their way upstairs to Tanaka's room while you and Tanaka prepared some snacks to keep up the energy levels. 

   "Snackie Time!" Tanaka calls when we enter the room. The boys cheer since they were famished from practice. 

   "Hey (Y/N) can you help me with this" Ennoshita asks politely. 

   I go over and sit beside him as he points out the area he's having trouble with on the English practice quiz. The rest of the night goes similarly, helping and getting help. By the time we finish it is already 9pm and the sun is almost going down. 

   "Alright lads, same time tomorrow?" I ask as I pack up my bag. "We can do my house this time since my parents will be out. "

   "Yep sounds like a plan!" they reply waving goodbye. 

   I step out of Tanaka and am hit with the pre-summer heat, once I arrive home I am covered in sweat from the combined humidity and exercise of walking up the hill we live on. 

   "I'm home!" I call, sliding my shoes off at the door. I can tell that at least one of my parents are home because the house is filled with the smell of something wonderful cooking in the kitchen. 

   "Hey honey! How was the study session?" my mom calls from the kitchen.

   I plop down at the table leaving my bag at the bottom of the stairs, "It was good, English is easy for me but Math was giving me some problems, I'm not that worried though."

   "That's good, I made some (f/f) cause I know you love it so much and exams can be stressful" she says. So that's why the house smelt so good. 

   "Thanks mom, I really appreciate it" I say smiling. I leave for my room before dinner and text Yachi.

You:

Hey Yachi, how's your studying going?

   You roll over on your bed, sinking into the mattress. I hadn't even done anything today and yet I was exhausted. School sucks. 

   I hear my phone go off and roll back to see a message from Yachi displayed on the home screen. 

Yachi:

Ugh, it's been really stressful but i think i'll manage. Hinata and Kageyama haven't stopped asking me for help and it's kinda cutting into my own studying time. 

You:

Damn that sucks, well if you need any help or want someone to take Hinata and Kageyama off your hands for a while id be happy to do so. 

Yachi:

Thanks (Y/N) that would be great, I'll let you know when i need it. Have a good night, see you tomorrow <3

You:

yeah you too!

(Y/N) POV

   I close my eyes for a few seconds but am rudely interrupted by my mom calling me down for dinner. After dinner I take a well deserved break and watch a few episodes of my show, the relaxation only last so long before I have to give in and study one last time. By the time I feel fully confident in Math it's midnight. I sigh as I crawl into bed, and as soon as my head hits the pillow I fall into a deep sleep. 

   That night I dream about the math exam growing teeth and eating me while I write it, once it finished eating me I appeared in a black room with tons of mirrors. In the mirrors was Terushima shirtless and when I turned around to face the middle of the room Terushima was pole dancing in a maid outfit while the Kurasuno team threw 100 dollar bills at him. Then a stack of papers came through a hole in the ceiling and landed on Terushima crushing him in the process, the papers were exams and they were covered in red marking anf big F's drawns on them. 

   I wake up in a cold sweat and unfortunately remember every detail of the dream I just experienced. I woke up early today so I can get some extra studying in and have a sufficient breakfast. I exit my house stressing about the exam I will sit in under an hour. 

   Before class I meet with Tanaka and Noya and we comfort each other until the last second. The test was Satan in exam form but I didn't feel like I had failed. The next exam was the same, not great but not failing, although I couldn't say for sure until I got my marks back which would be in the middle of summer break. 

   The next few days were almost identical to Tuesday and before I knew it, Tanaka, Noya and I were sauntering out of the school gates on Friday afternoon with all the tests behind us. It felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders and to celebrate the guys were gonna stay the night at my place.
