Tendou x Reader

Confession

(Y/N) POV

   I see Tendou and Ushijima walk back towards us, Ushijima looks the same but Tendou's face is look nervous and uncomfortable. He comes and sits back down beside me. 

   "Tendou are you ok you look a little pale, did something happen?" I ask concerned about his state. 

   "Oh, yeah I'm fine" He says, "Actually could we go for a little walk?" 

   "Sure." I say, standing up, this time I'm the one who extends a hand to help Tendou up. 

   He takes my hand timidly. This was kind of weird, I have never seen him like this, maybe something really is wrong. We walk along the beach and I keep holding onto his hand. We don't talk but this time it's comfortable. Tendou seems to have calmed down a little and his face is back to it's normal color. I can feel his grip on my hand tighten. 

   We turn onto the dock and I laugh under my breath thinking about the incident that went down earlier. The moon reflects on the water and lights up our faces. I glance up at Tendou and blush, I hadn't realized this before but his hair was down and covered his eyes slightly. It looked really good, and I wanted to run my fingers through it.

   At the end of the dock Tendou stops and sits down on the ledge. He looks back at me and gestures for me to join him. We sit there together, hands intertwined, watching the waves dance in the bay. 

   I wonder what this is to him, how does he feel about me. Is this just friends to him?

Tendou POV

   This is it, the moment of truth. (Y/N)'s hand feels soft in mine, I glance at her and see that she's looking up at the stars. He hair flowing in the breeze and a soft smile of her face. My face heats up as I watch her, how can someone this perfect walk into my life like she had and not know how much they mean to me. 

   Then I see her shiver, the ocean breeze was a little chilly. 

   "Are you cold (Y/N)?" I ask.

   "A little, I should've brought a jacket" she says. 

   I move closer to her and wrap my arm around her should. She looks up and me in shock. 

   "Is this ok?" I ask hoping that I wasn't making her uncomfortable. 

   "Mhm" she says. And then she rests her head on my shoulder. My mind shuts off for a second. I was not expecting this. I start to fear that she can hear my heartbeat going a mile a minute, but if she can she doesn't acknowledge it. 

   We stay like that for a while, enjoying each others presence. 

   Alright, she's gotta be into me. No one would do this if they weren't. 

   I build up all my courage and break the silence. 

(Y/N) POV

   I'm sitting in Tendou's arms watching the water. I'm glad it's nighttime cause the blush on my cheeks in probably insane right now. 

   "(Y/N)" Tendou says, breaking the silence. 

   I look up at him and tuck a strand of hair behind me ear. "Yes Tendou?"

   He glances down at my lips, and I realize what this is.

   OMG this is happening holy shit. No, don't jump to conclusions yet. 

   "Can I....Can I kiss you?" he whispers, barely audible. 

   I was right, my first kiss. 

   I break eye contact and watch his lips. "Yeah."

   Slowly we start to close the gap between us, it's almost painful. I rise up a little and surprise myself when I feel our lips connect. My yeah goes fluffy and I can't think straight. This is so much better than how I thought it would feel like. The kiss is soft and only lasts a few seconds until we break away. 

    I smile at Tendou and we both let out a little laugh. "That was nice. Let's do it again" he says. 

  This time he closes the gap first and cups my cheek in his hand. The kiss is more passionate and I reach my hand up to his hair. It's just as soft as I imagined it to be. I'm starting to run out of air but I don't really care. 

   We break away again and I nestle my face into his neck, embarrassed. He pats my head and hug me close. We stand up and start walking back to the fire. Hands intertwined and shoulders bumping against each other. 

    Kiyoko notices us first and leans over to Yachi whispering something in her ear. Yachi look sup and when she see's us she starts grinning gives me a big thumbs up. I give her a thumbs up back and she starts laughing. Tanaka notices us next, he looks from me to Tendou and then down at our hands. Then he starts clapping, soon everyone is watching us and cheering. Tendou looks down at me and see's that my face is absolutely mortified. He grabs my shoulders and hugs me, I bury my face in his chest and try to ignore everyone else. 

Tendou POV

   I don't mind that everyone is cheering but (Y/N) seems to be terrified. I hug her to my chest to try and calm her down. Then I look up at Ushijima and give him a thumbs up, and for the first time in a while, I see him smile. I take (Y/N) over to our towel and she sits down in my lap.

   "Hey Tendou." (Y/N) says once everyone goes back to normal. 

   "Yeah what's up?" I ask. 

   "What did you and Ushijima talk about before we left? You looked really pale after it." she says looking up at me. 

   I laugh "He was telling me to make my move on you, cause I had been telling him all day how much I wanted to. I was probably pale cause I was really nervous." I reply.

   "Oh, ok" she says laughing as well.

   "Seems stupid in hindsight." I admit. 

   "I was nervous too don't worry." 

   The rest of the night we sit like that, chatting with other people or playing games as a group. By the time someone suggested that we pack it up and head home it was already 10pm. I didn't want to leave (Y/N) but I didn't had a choice. But before she left I had something to ask her.
