JADE AND CLAY SPENT the day lounging on her couch and watching shameless. both of their cats were following, cuddled up much like their parents were. jade was laying in clays arms, him drawing circles on her stomach.

"do you wanna like, actually make dinner tonight?" he asked her around six, jade rolling over into his chest.

"yeah, what we're you thinking?" she asked, clay thinking for a moment.

"what about fettuccine? or whatever kind of pasta you like?" jade nodded, grabbing her phone from next to her. she opened up postmates and started putting the essentials into her cart, looking up to clay and hovering over certain things, looking for approval. she ordered it, her phone telling her it would be there in about a half hour. the two of them remained in their spot until her doorbell rang, and jade shot up to grab it. she thanked the man, and put all the bags on her kitchen island. clay walked a moment later, and helped her unpack all the items.

"okay, i'll get the water boiling, do you wanna start the chicken?" jade asked him, and he nodded. she was surprised to find that he was neat and organized, as well as a good cook. once he was done grilling the chicken, he made the sauce. he scooped a little bit up on a spoon and offered it to jade. "ok that's really good." she told him,
seriously. he smiled and kissed her quickly on the lips.

they messed around with each other in the kitchen, clay coming over and bumping his hip with jade's every once in a while. they dished up everything, clay giving a little bit of the leftover chicken to patches and cinny. they sat down at her small dining table, jade getting them both glasses of water. clay waited for jade to come back before he started to eat, jade laughing at him. "this isn't a formal dinner y'know,"

clay shrugged. "i try to be a gentleman," the two ate quietly, watching the show that was still playing. when they finished, clay took both of their dishes to the sink, jade coming up next to him with their glasses. they walked together back to they couch, where their cats had moved together where their parents had sat previously. it was nearing eight, and clay was tired from sitting around all day. jade noticed him yawn, and lightly punched him on the shoulder.

"do you wanna go lay down?" she asked him, and he nodded. she walked him to her bedroom, excusing the mess. he sat down, and she followed. they sat on their phones, jade scrolling through twitter, and clay texting his friends.

"my friends wanna meet you," he said after a little bit.

"what friends?"

"the ones that i play with all the time, nick and george. nick is from texas and george is from the uk,"

"um, okay. i can do that," she was nervous, worried about what they might think of her. she really liked clay, and wanted to keep him around. clay must have seen the look on her face, because he immediately sprung to comfort her.

"hey hey, they're seriously the sweetest guys in the world. especially to you, you guys would get along great, okay? if you can get along with me, you can absolutely get along with them." he assured her.

"didn't you say you did youtube?" clay nodded and cocked his head. "are they in any of your videos?"

"pretty much all of them yeah. here, do you wanna watch a manhunt to get a feel for them?" she nodded, handing him the remote. he turned one of them on, and she was shocked watching some of his plays. he of course picked one where he won, wanting to show off.

"your friends seem nice," was the first thing she said when it ended. "especially bad, why do you call him that when he's so nice?"

"oh so you don't say anything about that fantastic final play, i see how it is." he said, with a semi serious expression.

"wait no, i'm sorry i didn't mean to-" clay cut her off by kissing her.

"i was kidding, you're all good." he grabbed her hand again, laying down completely. "we can go back to my house and i can call them and you can try playing minecraft with them?" jade nodded, laying down and putting her head on his chest.

"you're really good at that though, seriously,"

"trust me, i know."
