Luckily my hangovers don't last very long. Blaise is still feeling the effects of the Yule Ball two days after. Either that or he's just skipping class. That whole night was spent unconscious, so it wasn't very fun for me. Jack was the one that carried me back to my room, he even slept on my floor to keep me company and make sure I was okay in the morning. Apparently Pansy never came back to the room, probably slept with some guy. I went to Blaise's room before dinner yesterday and he was still knocked out on his bed. I decided to bring him back a plate of food so he wasn't super hungry when he woke up, you know because I'm a good girlfriend. He still wasn't awake when I brought him food, which was a little concerning, but oh well.

'Y/l/n. Partner up with Weasley today. Considering neither of your partners decided to show up.' I look over at the red-haired boy that's besties with Potter. I mentally roll my eyes thinking he must be as bad as Potter. Draco's told me how the Weasley's are a disgraceful family because they think muggles are fascinating. I agree, my parents have never had a fondness for muggles and along with all my friends think that muggle-borns are pathetic.

I take a seat next to Weasley and set my books down. We were brewing today, meaning that I actually had to talk to him. Usually these days are my favorite because I get to talk and flirt with Blaise.

'Alright now. Start your brewing.' Snape says.

I turn to Weasley as he begins to talk.

'Um I'm Ron.' He says kind of awkwardly.

'Y/n.' I say. He gives me a bit of a half smile and turns to his potions book.

'So um I guess we're making a girding potion.'

'Mhm. It seems rather easy, compared to others.' I say, scanning the recipe.

'Easy?! You think this looks easy? If I didn't know any better, I'd think you were Hermione.' He says.

'Ughh don't compare me to her.' I say rolling my eyes.

'Why not?'

'Oh come on, she's annoying as hell. Knows every spell in the books.'

'I think it's rather brilliant.'

'Oh I see, you've got yourself a little crush.' I say, smiling.

'What? Hermione? No. She's always on my tail about everything. She's actually pissed at me right now.'

'Why what'd you do?'

'That's the thing. I don't even know. She was yelling at me at the ball and I still don't know what I did.'

'Ughh girls sometimes.' I roll my eyes.

'Tell me about it.' He rolls his eyes too. We both start laughing and begin the potion. He's actually not nearly as bad as I thought he was.

'No Ron we have to wait until it turns pink before we add that.'

'Ughh this is going to take forever.'

'Mhm that's how potions work.'

'We could just add it now. Snape would never know.'

'Would never know what Weasley?' I look over to see Snape standing right behind Ron.

'Nothing.' He says nervously. I laugh a little, which makes Ron fake pout.

'Not funny y/n.' I shake my head a little and continue the potion.

By the time we're done, class is almost over and most people are starting to pack up.

'We're finished Snape.' I say, standing up and collecting my few books.

He looks at it for a second, then looks at me and Ron.

'Very good y/l/n. Weasley. Better than what you two usually brew with your other partners.'

I look at Ron and we share a smile.

'It was all y/n sir. She really knows what she's doing.'

'I see. Well then y/n. Ten points to Slytherin.'

'Thank you sir.'

'Very well you two, off to your next class.'

Me and Ron walk out together, lightly chatting until I hear someone yell my name behind me.

'Y/n!' I see Blaise angrily walking towards me.

'Blaise? What's wrong?'

'I see you and Weasley have gotten rather close during potions. Care to tell me why you got a new partner?'

'Snape made me work with him because YOU didn't show up.' I say, pointing a finger to his chest.

'You know why I didn't show up? Because I was recovering from Amortentia in the hospital wing.'

'Amortentia? Who gave you that?'

'Oh well you see, it was mixed in with some pumpkin juice that was left by my bedside last night. Draco said you put it there.'

'Me?! you think I put a love potion in your drink? Why on earth would I? You're already in love with me!'

'Oh you think so?! What gave you that idea?'

'Oh I don't know. Maybe because you're dating me?'

'Am I? Oh really? You see, I don't even know if it was real or not, you might've put me on a love potion then too.'

'Are you kidding right now? You think I'm that desperate for you that I'd brew up some amortentia to get you to date me? Oh please. I could pull so many guys if I wanted to. Without a fucking potion Blaise.'

'Is that why you tried making me fall in love with Pansy? So you could go fuck another guy?'

'Pansy?'

'Yeah. I drank the pumpkin juice and suddenly was completely in love with Pansy. It was a load of rubbish, I tell you.'

'Blaise you do realize that I can't make amortentia for another person, right? Whoever gives you it is the person that you become infatuated with.'

'You're trying to tell me that Pansy gave me that stupid potion?'

'Mhm. Don't you pay attention in class? Everyone knows that about amortentia.'

'How could I pay attention when your beautiful face is right next to me?' His face softens and he steps closer to me, lightly holding my hand.

'Don't pretend you weren't just yelling at me two seconds ago.'

'I know. I'm sorry babes. Just Draco told me that you put the food there so I figured it was you.'

'You need to trust me more Blaise. You can't keep accusing me of things so quick. It isn't healthy.'

'I know. I'm sorry y/n.' He leans down and kisses me, sending butterflies through my body. Every day I realize more and more how Blaise is kinda toxic, but the few times that we share sweet moments, it all goes away, and I get sucked back in.
