Izuku Midoriya's life was far from perfect.

Like, sunset and sunrise far.

He was orphaned as a child, and his own town hated him.

No, scratch that.

Despised him, loathed him, actually.

For why? He badly wished he knew.

All his life, even when his mom was alive, they'd been branded as witches.

He never really understood why.

Was it because of their hair and eyes which were both in a deep shade of green? He can only guess.

But everyone, specially their leaders had been accusing them as the reason of all the misfortunes happening around them.

It wasn't that bad when his dad was around. But it got worst as quick as lightning the moment he suddenly disappeared. He was a man they all admired and was said to be the one of the best warrior in their place.

His disappearance was blamed all heavily on his mother—not even caring the slightest if she was grieving and heartbroken, nor the pitiful state she was found in when her own husband disappeared without a word.

They all conjured the story that she killed him and fed him to her monsters.

What monsters though? Hasn't it ever occured to them, that if those accusations were real, none of them will still be alive?

But no, they were too stubborn, too close minded to even think rationally.

Which was why he left that town.

He made a deal that he'll go, as long as they leave his house alone. That was the only thing left in his life. The only remembrance he had about his mom.

But that request too, wouldn't have been possible either, had it wasn't for their eldest leader in the town, Yagi Toshinori.

He firmly refused to let anyone lay a finger on Izuku's home, and they couldn't go against it. He was their town's hero. Everyone loved the man.

Hence, disobeying him will leave a terrible taste to the people. (But, even with Yagi obviously adoring him and his mom, the town turned a blind eye. Yeah, Izuku guessed they were the sole exception from the people's willingness to obey Yagi. Perhaps there was also jealousy involve somewhere in there.
Oh well, atleast he still got to keep his house safe though.)
