U-um.. Excuse me sir, can I help you?"
Katsuki found himself unable to respond as he stared into those big green eyes.
The greenest color he'd ever seen.
It had to be a trick of the light or any sort of optical illusion shit for him to see them sparkling.
Fucking. Sparkling.
It reminded him of emeralds.
The daemon can see surge of emotions from it, clear as day. There was undeniable curiosity in it, but also hints of..concern?
But what the fuck was he doing right now?!
"..sir?"
Those eyes continue to look deep into his soul as the owner of it tried to talk again. The voice got Katsuki to snap out from whatever trance he was in and let his face morphed into his default expression: scowling.
This got the other halting and a little taken aback, but before Katsuki can even say or answer anything, the boy turn his head upwards and passed the daemon's head, as loud voices from a close distance can be heard. It made quite a commotion and earned some gasps and loud murmurings from the crowd.
The guards are nearby already.
They could hear them talking and asking questions to some people, while others are barking orders to their fellow mages to go search the perimeter carefully.
Clearly, there were more guards now present than what Katsuki initially saw before he ducked in here.
Shit.
It won't be long to have some of them poking their heads to where he was hiding.
Katsuki was so busy screaming at his inner thoughts on how fucking stupid he was for picking this hiding spot now, that he didn't noticed; he must have been showing some sort of panicking expression in his face. Because after observing, the boy infront of him tilted his head a little, and those green eyes shifted between looking at him, then to the direction of the voices, then back at him again and asked,
"Are you the one they're looking for?" in almost a whisper.
Katsuki didn't know how to even respond to that.
If the him just yesterday can see himself at this very moment, he will surely laugh hard mercilessly at how fucking pathetic he must have looked right now.
Some daemon lord was he.
Can't even fucking come up with a way to get out of this predicament.
Damnit, damnit, god fucking damnit!!
Again, the daemon's face must have gave away some sort of hints of his distress as it got the other nodding slightly and standing up, sliding his hood down to reveal a mop of green hair.
Even after all the situation he was in, and all the affrighting state his brain was currently facing, Katsuki still managed to realized that this was the same boy that he saw helping the beggar earlier.
Looking at the white hooded cloak confirmed it even more.
At closer look, he really does look young.
Young and a little... petite.
Maybe still on his teens?
