"Oh, but you know, I can't wait for the spring, because the smell of love is strong in the air.."

Rumi sat on her throne with her back slumping on the backrest and her palm on her face. She heaved a long sigh and gave an eye roll, glaring at nothing. Her long ears—that sometimes looked like horns, twitching in annoyance.

She absolutely hated this.

She hated being summoned at a meaningless meeting when she could be doing more important things.

Most of all, she hated listening to her fellow gods and goddesses' endless babbles.

"It's really a sight to see! The freshly ripening love of two people.. you can't ask for anything better than that and.."

Elch!

Will Amora just shut up?! I'm so sick and tired of hearing her talk about the "wonders of love" during springs. And winter is just barely beginning for crying out loud! No body cares about it!

She sank further in her seat, hung her head low which caused her stark white hair to fall over, covering her face. She didn't even cared how improper and unladylike she was sitting, and that she is probably the only one in the meeting who doesn't exudes divinity.

To her left, the God of Wisdom—Kamui, chuckled as he took notice of her state. "Looks like our Goddess of War is bored."

Rumi didn't even bothered to look up as she grumbled, "What's the point of this stupid meeting anyway? We've been here for an hour!"

The god just gave her a shrugged and a sympathetic look.

"Oh stop complaining will you? It's not like there's an ongoing war that needed your assistance. And can you please sit up straight?" Uwabami, the Goddess of Fertility (and the eldest in their group) scolded her. She straighten her composure herself to further emphasize the need to be proper.

Rumi sat up upon hearing the other's statement. She spread her legs slightly, resting both her elbows on her knees—clearly disregarding the call to be proper, eyed the other goddess and said, "Okay, first of all, that isn't the only thing I'm needed at. I'm the one who looks after for civil orders, and potential rebellions. People pray to me for bravery in fights or journey or rage control or even to simply face mundane fears. That shit doesn't stop happening just because there's no war."

Those who were around them and overheard their conversation gasped at her vulgarity and Uwabami literally hissed at her, "Language! Is that how a goddess talk?"

"Oh please. What's the point of being celestial if you can't do what you want?" Rumi said with a snicker, crossing her arms on her chest and slumping back in her chair. She was clearly enjoying pissing these stuck ups off.

This earned her a couple of heads shaking in defeat, and a stern glare from Uwabami.

"Why are you in such a sour mood? It's a peaceful night Rumi.." the Goddess of the Mountains, Yu (but preferred to be called Lady for humans) commented with slight amusement on her face.

"Urgh! Again, what's with this meeting?! Why haven't we started yet? Where the hell is Tempest?!" Rumi snapped back as she irritatingly grabbed her hair with both her hands in exasperation.

"He's not the only one we're still waiting." Kamui pointed out as he eyed all the empty seats at the huge circle of thrones. Out of all the twelve gods and goddesses, only nine yet were present. "Dura's not here yet too."

The Goddess of War clicked her tongue in disdain, "Hah! To think this is the oh so divine Novellus pantheon. Can't even be expected to be punctual."
