Izuku was caught off guard. He won't be surprised if he was gaping the whole time.

This man..

This strange, a little scary looking, yet eerily attractive man (don't judge him for thinking that to a stranger. It's been a weird day okay?) who is apparently a royalty, and had suddenly literally popped out of nowhere to his place this afternoon looking like he's escaping for his dear life, is now offering him... a new job?

Can we... go back for a bit?

"..I..I beg your pardon?"

Piercing red eyes, the reddest he'd probably ever seen, rolled over as the man, or Katsuki, gave him an exasperated sigh for making him repeat his own question. "You deaf or some shit? I said, would you like a new fucking job, shortstack."

Okay. Okay..

See Izuku wasn't, and never will be, the type to quickly judge a person, specially those that he just met, but..

First off, that's quite a.. vulgar way of talking.

Well, it's not the first time Izuku heard someone curse. He's a street vendor after all. He'd seen different kinds of people on a daily basis. Lots!

But as far as he observed, people curse out of frustration on something, or if ever it's directed at someone, it'll be because they were angry.

They don't incorporate it in a normal conversation.

Saying that straight in the face of someone is.. well... not what he's used to.

Second, um..rude?

Izuku is small compared to average height, but does it have to be blatantly dumped into his face like that?

From a stranger, no less?

He is honestly starting to be confused on what to make out of this person.

This blond has got to be the oddest prince he'll ever see in his entire life.

"I heard you the first time sir, it's just.." Izuku stopped making eye contact with the other out of confusion, "..I was pretty sure you've seen that I have a job already?"

The man let out a huff, "Yeah, I can see that."

There was a hint of some edgy subtle form of mockery in that tone of voice that doesn't sit well with the vendor.

Like some sort of sarcasm waiting to be exploited and be argued about.

Izuku's eyes narrowed at that a little.

Still, he didn't want to be equally rude.

"So, um.. I'm perfectly okay with it as you can see. And so, thank you? But I'm afraid I have to decli-"

"I can give you more than whatever the fuck you earn with.." Katsuki turned to gesture all around them with his hands, "..this."

Izuku was very, very tempted to say that he didn't need it. He had already struck gold yesterday from the kind old lady who gave him two full bag of coins for his necklaces. It was more than what he can ever ask for.

And it's not like he was chasing to earn a lot of money anyway..

He was perfectly contented with what he have.

But he was curious.

Curious as to why this.. prince? Was offering him something.

"Why?"

"Why what?"

"Why are you offering me a job? We just met sir.."

Katsuki was visibly shocked for a fraction of second, and was momentarily taken aback. He stopped to look at Izuku carefully.
