Dean and Sam had gone on a few cases without me again. I needed another break. They didn't want me to get hurt and lately that's all that had been happening. I stayed at Bobby's while they helped him out with something. He was stuck in his own dream, more like nightmare. Nonetheless, Ruby had come back to save Dean from a witch and revealed she truly couldn't save him from his deal. For a demon, she really wasn't that bad. Sam had spoken to me about her and revealed that he had killed the crossroads demon. He was visibly upset about this.
I comforted him all that I could, but it was harder than I had ever imagined. Ruby also revealed she would take care of Sam when Dean was gone, more like use him for his "gift". I wasn't going to let it happen. Sam and I were connected, so if she was going to assist him, she would have to assist me too.

We were on a new case about this local mystery spot. It seemed odd to me, fake news. But, Dean suggested we check it out. I woke up to the alarm clock radio next to me, playing Asia's "Heat of the Moment".

Sam sat up in bed, to see Dean tying his shoes looking like a goof.

"Asia really?" Sam groans, getting out of bed.

"Of course, Asia is legendary."

Dean goes to the bathroom to brush his teeth. so get out of bed and grab my bag to change into my clothes for the day. I pick out a blue flannel with a black shirt with my skinny jeans, and a pair of boots. I flip my hair back and brush through it as Dean walks out of the bathroom with Sam beside him.

"Wanna grab a bite before we go?"

"Sure."

We all go to this local diner. I sit in the booth beside Sam on the inside. Dean points up to the specials.

"Tuesday: Pig in a Poke!"

"What can I get you guys today?" The waitress takes our order.

"I'll have the pig in a poke with a side of bacon, coffee." Dean says.

"I'll have the breakfast slammer with sausage and coffee please."

"Just coffee for me please." Sam smiles at the waitress.

"Not hungry?"

"Yeah. I'm good."

The woman comes back with the coffee and drops a bottle of hot sauce on the ground.

"I'm so sorry!"

"It's all good."

Dean gives me a side eye as she comes back over to clean it up. A few minutes later, she brings us our food. Dean begins to eat, and I pick around the food.

"Are you okay?" Sam looks to me.

"Yeah, just tired." I take a sip of the coffee as Sam reads the paper.

We finish eating and walk towards our hotel room. They think it's best to go later tonight to the mystery spot. I agree so there wasn't a lot of people there. I see a golden retriever barking at us, tied up to a bike rack. A woman runs into Dean, and apologizes seeming like she was in a rush. We pass a few movers that were struggling to get a desk inside a building. It all seemed pretty hectic.

We go to the mystery spot, arriving and looking around for anything weird. It seemed like a sketchy place, a waste of money. I walk down the hallway with Dean and see the owner approaching us with a shotgun.

"What are you guys doing here?" He holds the gun out in front of us and I hold my hands up.

"Woah, woah. There's a mistake here. We're just here to look around for a routine check in."

"After office hours? What kind of cops are you?"

"I'm sorry. We didn't notify you. That's our mistake."

"I'm calling the real police!"

"Look. We're not here to harm you."

The shotgun goes off and Dean goes flying backwards.

I couldn't move. Dean was bleeding out.

"Dean? Dean!" I hear Sam's footsteps behind me, falling to the ground to hold Dean.

"Call the police! Hurry!" Sam was still screaming behind me.

"I- I didn't mean to."

"He said call the police!" I unfreeze and hold my gun up to him.

I fall to my knees as he runs off, turning to Dean. He was already gone, his eyes starting to close.

"Dean!" I cry out.

"It was the heat of the moment!" I hear ringing into my ears as I sit up in the hotel bed. I look over and see Sam with the same expression on his face as me.

"I had the weirdest dream." I look over to Dean, doing the same exact thing he was in my dream.

"I don't think it was a dream." Sam says.

"What?"

"I swear, this is the biggest case of deja vu I've ever had."

"I watched Dean die at the mystery spot. The owner killed him."

"I saw that too. This wasn't a dream."
