I wake up and roll over to see Dean still in bed, and Sam not in bed beside me. I sit up and look around, not seeing any sign of him. I get out of bed and go to the bathroom, still no sign of him. I see that the window of the hotel room was cracked open, and glass was shattered on the floor. I see blood on the floor and start frantically looking around for any sign of Sam and still cannot find one.
"What's the matter?" Dean sat up in bed, with a dazed look on his face.
"Sam, he's gone. The window's broken and there's blood all over the floor."
"What?" Dean gets out of bed quickly and looks to the floor.
"How long have you been up?"
"Just a few minutes. I woke up in the middle of the night and talked to him for a while though, that was probably around 3 this morning."
I look up to the clock and see it's shortly past 9.
"Let's go find him." Dean grabs all of his things, slipping on his shoes.
-
You had been traveling for days, Dean was trying everything but he couldn't trace Sam's phone and all of his belongings were gone.
I couldn't help but think something about me was the issue and Sam left without a trace because of what had happened that night. Was it really a problem and he had just led me on? Did he think I didn't love him? I could tell Dean was tired, and worried about the whereabouts of his brother.
"Do you want me to drive? You've been driving constantly for days."
"I'm fine."
"Dean, it's okay to not be. Your brother is missing, it's completely-""Stop. I'm tired of the sad piles of crap. I'm tired of people asking if I'm fine."
"I'm worried about you! Just like I'm worried about Sam. It's unlike him to just run off."
"Something took him. You're right. He wouldn't just do this on his own."
"I'm not so sure right now.""Why is that?"
"Nothing. Sam and I had a conversation the night he left. I just feel like it was me."
"There is nothing that you could say that would make him leave. I've said plenty of awful things about him to his face and he still has stayed by my side. I see the way he looks at you, you can deny it all you want but he cares about you, he hasn't cared about a girl like that in a long time."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes I'm sure. Now, let's stop for a bit and rest.""Sounds good to me."
"Do you want the backseat?" He points to the back.
I nod my head and crawl over the seats and wrap myself in a blanket, putting on Sam's hoodie he had let me borrow. It still smelled like him from the night we had kissed and I suddenly felt tears rush in my eyes.
"Hey, don't cry." I hear Dean shuffle around in his seat to face me.
"Dean, I just can't erase the thoughts of something being terribly wrong. It's been here since Gordon, and it hasn't disappeared as I thought it would have. Now that Sam's gone, I just feel like I'm a ticking time bomb, who knows when I'm gonna have another vision and what happens then? I just feel like I'm one of the monsters you've been hunting all this time."
"You're not a monster first off and yeah, I might put on a hell of a show sometimes but deep down, I still think about all the times I've been hurt or Sam even. It's not the best job, it's awful. It's time consuming and it takes the literal life out of you. Gordon tore you up pretty good and it will haunt you for a while but I'm always here to help you along the way and once we find Sam, he will be too. We both care about you. If you have another vision, we'll take care of it."
