I wake up, in the backseat of the impala. I sit up, seeing the boys parked in the middle of no where. Dean was asleep, his skin looking much better than what it looked last. He looks in the rear view mirror and turns around quickly.
"Angie? You awake?"
"Yeah. Barely." I held my face, keeping the headache away.
"Sammy." Dean taps his shoulder and he shakes awake.
"What?"
"Angie."
Sam quickly turns around to me, grabbing my hand.
"Are you alright?"
"I'm as good as I can be."
"Here. Eat. It'll help you." Dean hands me a bag of takeout. The same old same old.
I grab it and begin to eat, and I feel my body begin to get stronger. I see myself in the rear view and notice I was ghost white and I felt my body shaking.
"Are you cold?"
"Yeah."
Sam gets out of the front seat and goes to the backseat with me. He holds me close to him, taking off his jacket and placing it over me. I continue to try and eat, but my body is still shaking. I'm assuming it's as a mix of loss of blood as well as little to no sleep the past week.
"Dean, how long has it been?"
"You've been out for a few days. We've taken care of you, but you're probably gonna take a while to get back to normal. Just eat, drink some water. You'll be alright. I mean, look at me." Dean tries to brighten the mood.
"Not now, Dean." I could hear the snarl in Sams voice.
"I'm fine." I put a hand on Sam and he stops.
"Can we get to a hotel or somewhere more comfortable for the night?"
"Bobbys is only about an hour away. We could probably stay with him for the night."
"Sounds good. Let's get a move on. I'll drive." Dean moves to the drivers seat.
"Thank you."
I lean back into Sam for a moment, before I feel my body go back to sleep once again.
—
I wake up for a slight moment to feel my body being lifted out of the impala, and up the road to Bobby's. I keep my eyes closed because I was still weak and didn't feel like doing anything but going back to bed. I heard light speaking, assuming it was Bobby talking to Dean. I am still being carried, down the hallway. I hear a door creak open and I'm set down on the bed. It was Sam carrying me for sure. He bends down to take my shoes off, and lifts the covers to place me under them. He tucks me back in and kisses my forehead before exiting the room, keeping the door slightly open as he walked back down the hall.
"So, the djinn did this?"
"Yeah, he had Dean and then took Angie. Angie has practically just been sleeping since. It's been a few days. Should we be worried?"
"No. It probably just spooked her more than anything. She'll be fine in the morning. She needs rest, and food."
"She barely ate this afternoon. But at least she had something."
"Yeah, she's a fighter. She'll be fine."
"I hope so."
"Did she say anything about what happened on the inside? When she was attacked? I know that you can get some pretty realistic visions."
"She hasn't said much actually. But I know I had one about life if we weren't hunters. It was like a fever dream."
"That's probably what happened to her too. Maybe a flashback. You might want to talk to her when she gets up."
"Will do. I think I'm gonna hit the hay." I hear Dean say.
"Same with me. Goodnight guys."
"Night."
I hear footsteps and see Sam standing in the doorway of my bedroom. He stands there for a moment, not noticing my eyes were open.
"Ang?"
"Yeah?"
"I didn't know you were awake. How are you feeling?"
"I'm feeling a lot better but I'm still tired. How do I look?"
"You look beautiful."
"Sammy. I meant am I still pale and yellow?"
"A bit, but not bad. Much better than a few days ago."
He walks to my bedside and sits next to my body, grabbing my hand.
"I'm gonna be fine. Don't worry about me." I miss the top of his hand over mine.
"I will worry about you. We've been over this. Do you wanna talk about what happened?"
"Sure. You might want to get comfortable."
He leans on to the bed frame beside me and lays out. I turn on to my side so he can see my face.
"I remember the monster grabbing my face and it felt like he was shocking me. I felt my body tense up and then all of a sudden, I was in my childhood bedroom. My mom was there, she told me I was graduating college. I got out of bed and stood up and suddenly you were there now. You sat in my bedroom doorframe and talked to me for a while about our futures. You and I both went to Stanford for law school, and we were gonna both end up being lawyers. You said we were gonna get married and have kids and be together forever. It seemed like a dream. I wanted to stay so bad, Sam. But I knew something was wrong. So I stabbed myself in the stomach and woke up. That's when you saved me."
"Yeah, it's called a djinn. It sends you into basically your dream world, while in real life, he's draining your blood from your body. The girl there was dead, she'd been there for a long time. I'm sorry I couldn't save you fast enough. You basically have to get yourself out of the vision. But you were smart enough to get yourself out. You saved yourself."
"I did. But I wanted to stay so bad. It seemed so perfect." I felt a tear roll down my face.
"Can I ask you something?"
"Yeah, of course. Anything."
"What happened to your mom?"
"She died when I was young. My aunt took me in and she recently died a few years ago before I was 18, and then I moved out and went to college. I was in my second year when you and Dean saved me."
"I'm sorry. I was going to be in my second year too. I was going to Stanford."
"I was too."
"Small world. But just know, that the dream life you were imagining, would've killed you. We can still try to have that dream life of yours you know. It'll be missing a few things, but I will do everything I can to give you that."
"Thank you. I really appreciate it. Any life with you in it is my perfect life." I smile, knowing that what I had said was cheesy.
"Ang, you're perfect." He grabs my face and pulls me into him. I kiss him and move my hands to the back of his neck.
He pulls out fairly quickly and smiles for a small moment before getting up.
"I'm going to let you sleep. Get some rest, okay?"
"Alright, Sammy. Goodnight."
"Night." He exits the room, shutting the door but leaving it open just a crack.
I pull the covers up to my face and roll over, looking out the small window. I saw the moon shining through. Stars scattered across the sky. As I was stargazing, I fall back asleep once again.
