Dean and I arrive at Bobbys. He owned a junkyard from the looks of it. He motioned for me to follow him up to the house. I slowly followed, pulling my sleeves up to elbows. I walk into the house to see Sam tied up to a chair, unconscious. There was a devils trap underneath him. I see the man I assume is Bobby with a big book in his hand. He looks up to us when we walk in.
"Glad you guys could make it. You must be Angie. Sam here, well you know what I mean, told me all about you."
"Really?"
"Yeah he practically wouldn't shut up about you. He kept going on about how he hooked you and shit."
"Hooked you?" Dean hits me playfully in the shoulder.
"Well that's the demon talking."
Suddenly, Sam wakes up. He looks around at all of us and his eyes flash to black.
"Nice to see we've all arrived."
"Shut up you ugly bitch." Bobby throws holy water on him and begins to say latin words.
The demon gets angry and starts to choke on his words. The whole room shakes. He begins to cackle.
"It doesn't seem to be working on me."
You look to Dean and see the floor beginning to crack, breaking the devils trap. Sam breaks away from his ties and sends me up against the wall. I cant breathe, and I look over to see Bobby and Dean next to me. Bobby was continuing to say the words and smoke comes out of Sam's mouth, black smoke. It escapes the house and Sam falls to the ground, sending all four of us to the ground.
"Sam?" I crawl over to him, the wind being knocked out of me.
He starts to wake up and he looks over to me, smiling. He grabs my face and I lay my hand over his.
"You're still wearing my sweatshirt, huh?"
"Yeah, it's kinda my favorite." I laugh, helping him up.
"Glad to have you back, Sammy." Dean pats his back, checking over his body for any wounds.
Bobby nods at him and he mouths the words "thank you".
Sam's hand was still in mine for a few moments before he finally noticed and stops, pulling his hand to the side of his body.
I stood there as the boys talked and then decided to go sit on the couch. I had been exhausted from all of this and I wanted to rest. I was worried about Sam but we wouldn't have any time to ourselves for a while. He wanted to catch up with his boys and I was cool with that. I rolled the sleeves back down and pulled my hands through, like I always did to keep myself warm. I began to close my eyes and felt someone next to me, they placed my head in their lap and combed my hair back getting all the knots out of it. I shortly figured it was Sam and I pull myself closer to him.
"Ang, I'm so sorry about everything. I'm sorry I hurt you. I'm sorry I said all those things. I didn't mean any of them. I'm sorry about what happened in the bathroom at the hotel. I'm sorry about what I did at the bar. I tried to fight it but it kept winning."
"Sammy, I know. It's okay. It wasn't you. I was just shocked to see you do all of those things, and say all of those things. Well, I mean the demon. Could you see everything?"
"Yeah, I did black out sometimes but I mostly was there the whole time. I don't remember killing the man really, just what happened after. I don't remember how I got you to Jo's either."
"I blacked out then too. But, I'm alive. You're alive. We're all okay. That's all that matters."
He kept combing his fingers through my hair and playing around with it. It was really calming.
"I'm so tired, Sam. I feel like I've been awake for years."
"You can sleep. I'll stay here and watch over you. Everything's gonna be alright."
I open my eyes and look up to him, seeing the sweat beading at his forehead. He had been through hell today, well we all had. I feel like he had been through the worse of it.
"I just want to let you know that what you did and said was not your fault. I know you know. But, I'm not gonna view you differently. You're still the innocent little Sam to me and nothing changes our relationship, okay? I'm still going to be by your side no matter what."
"Okay. Thank you. Let's get some rest."
I smile and roll back over to the side. I close my eyes and feel Sam's hand fall over my shoulder and the other lay in my pile of hair. I could hear footsteps, but Sam didn't move or flinch this time. Maybe he didn't mind that Dean see us like this. We had been through it today and maybe he just thought it was a kind gesture for Sam to let me lay with him. Also, the fact that we were exhausted. I open my eyes for a short second and see Dean across the way in a chair, crossing his arms, about to close his eyes.
"You two- make a great couple if I do say so myself." Dean says.
"Yeah?"
"Yeah, really."
"He's super special to me, Dean. I would love your blessing." I was hoping Dean could tell I was being sarcastic, just joking around a bit.
"How funny. But, seriously you and him, might be the sickest power couple of hunters I've ever seen. You both have been through hell several times, and you're still kicking."
"Because we have to. To stay alive."
"Yeah you're right. Just don't break Sammy's little heart alright?"
"Okay, Dean." I laugh.
"Let's get some rest before we go back on the road."
"Sounds good to me. Goodnight, Dean."
"Night."
I feel Sam's body shift behind me. I had a feeling like wasn't the most comfortable for him. I turn around to face him, and see his eyes fluttering. I lean up and kiss his cheek, sending his eyes to open.
"Yes?"
"You can move if you want. This doesn't seem very comfortable to you."
"I'm fine."
"Sam."
"I'm kinda used to sleeping on the couch." He winks.
He takes his shoes off and moves to lay down across the couch and I lay in the hole that he wasn't taking up. He wraps his arm around me and I grab his hand, holding it tightly.
"Now this is more like it." I feel his breath on the back of my neck.
"Good."
