ASAD'S POV

Huda?
Asad?we both called at the same time shock evident in our faces. If it was in any other situation I could have laughed at her perplexed face. Her eyes were wide and her jaw could literally hit the floor.

She has not changed much just that her face is a little pale and she has lost some weight.
Seriously Asad !I shouldn't be looking at her like that.

She cleared her throat and averted her gaze looking anywhere but my face. She kept fidgeting .

" Huda abduljabar what a surprise to see you here" I said casually. Her next question caught me off guard.
" Asad alameri what are you doing here" she narrowed her eyes at me.

I scoffed at her choice of words. Seriously?I should be the one asking her that question.

" Oh well this is my father's house,the mayor" I stated like it's the must obvious thing on earth.

She gasped and I think this time her jaw is definitely going to hit the floor. She dropped the food on the table and literally freezed on the spot.

Wait!food?, Something is not right here,but before i could ask her she picked the food and sprinted out of the kitchen as if the floors were on fire.

I momentarily closed my eyes heaved a sigh.

"Your gown looks gorgeous lady Naina" one of the women commented making her to smile proudly.

"I know right.. I bought this at a fashion auction in paris it is so expensive" she bragged
"I could not believe not believe my eyes when I saw the price"khair added
"Nobody can beat you when it comes to dressing and fashion" another added
"Of course my dear" she smiled widely.
"What about your gowns "khair asked the ladies with a smirk on her lips

"Of course there are nothing compared to lady Naina" they said
She turned and saw the mayor talking to his friends

"Excuse us ladies" Naina said walking away with her long flowy gown that was held by her personal maid and khair
"I must hand it to you Naina,you really know how to host an event" khair said while taking a glass of lemonade from the ushers.
"You know I was born for this khair" Naina smiled

The song changed to a slow one and the mayor came up to her
"May I have this dance my lady" he asked stretching his hands forward
"Of course Habibi .she answered joining her hand with his...it's our night after all" she beamed at him
They started moving to the song looking at each other lost in their own thoughts.
