🥀Chapter37: Unchatered mission🥀

"kulthum, remember when you asked me to pick up food from the resident? I asked

"Yhh what does that.. ya allah! she gasped as realization hit her. "What are we going to do now?" she asked pacing up and down." Ya salam,this just added fuel to the already blazing fire" kulthum sighed

"I don't know, and no matter how much I tried to deny it , my only option now is to sneak my way into the resident without getting caught" Yh its a suicide mission!!

"oh my god that is almost near impossible!" she whisper yelled

" Yes, its impossible but I have to get it back no matter what, it's important to me you know?

"I know huds, may Allah make its easy for you ,and may you not accidentally into that she devil" she scoffed which made me laugh.

And by the 'she devil' she's referring to non other than her royal highness queen naina the first! Ya Allah forgive me for insulting your creation.

" Ameen, i will get going now and plan my suicide mission. if I don't come back know that I love you ok? I said dramatically wiping imaginary tears from my eyes.

"You silly girl, inshallah nothing will happen to you' she hugged me before whispering ma'asslam

I closed my eyes and heaved a sigh. My number one task is to wear all black like an assassin, since its almost night. I stood up and walked to the wardrobe and picked my black abaya and veil. I wore it on and used the veil to cover half of my face.

step two is to get najnaj and leave the house, told ammi that I'm stepping out for a walk. I left my room to the sitting room, I picked her up and strolled out. The resident is very far from our neighborhood so I entered a rickshaw.

On arrival, I noticed that there was only one guard at the gate. weird, but its gonna be easier for me. I hid behind one of the pillars supporting the magnificent gate so as not to be seen. I dropped najnaj on the ground to distract the guard. she went to him and started rubbing herself on his leg.

wow! she's clever and luckily everything is moving according to my plan.

He picked her up and that was my chance, so I quickly left my hiding spot and dashed towards the pedestrian gate that was open. I entered the large compound and as usual maids were moving from one place to another. I quickly ran to the kitchen chamber as fast as my legs could carry me I entered the kitchen and nobody was there, I quickly started looking around the cabinets and the entire kitchen I eventually got tired after minutes of searching

But wait! how will I see something that I misplaced weeks ago it cant just stay were it was, maybe someone saw it and picked it u

I facepalmed myself out of frustration

My only option is to go to the maids quarters and ask sahibar hajar, but what will I tell her, and we are not really on good terms

I opened the back door and started making my way when a hand quickly held my arm stopping me

I quickly turned and low and behold it was mashkur.

why am I always bumping into him , I rolled my eyes at him why is he hell bent on ruining my life

"Let go of my hand !" I shouted angrily

"Hello to you too princess" he smirked "I'm not letting you go because you're coming with me" before i could register what's happening, he started dragging me by the arm. I kept yelling for him to stop but it was as if he was deaf, i struggled but to no avail. we came to a stop and he pushed me so hard that i fell to the ground,, i was still in shock when my eyes came in contact with a person's leg adorned with heels. They were so pretty i kept staring.

I quickly looked up and let's just say the color on my face drained. It's the queen herself with her personal maid , and her minion of a friend. she had a smirk on her lips.

she started clapping her hands" Well, well, well, what do we have here" she turned and looked at her minions then back at me.

my blood was already boiling

"what are you doing here, rags like you are not welcomed here, you belong to the slums" she spat out. Her words pierced through me like spears were being thrown at me.

"the last I checked, I personally ordered for you to be out and never return' she glared at me

as if! she thinks I enjoy staying around her? well she got it all wrong . I need to clarify a few things.

"Actually... I opened my mouth to explain myself but she interrupted me. "I don't want to hear you silly explanation. "Guards! She shouted and the one I met at the gate came running as if he was being chased by a lion.
"How did this "thing " get here? She pointed at me , with disgust.
Wow me a thing!
He quickly bowed well ma'am i... didn't see her come in. He stuttered
"You ingrate, it's your job to look at for unwanted people and to make sure that no harm enters the residence,this is your last warning, if you ever do something as stupid as that I will personally thrown you out. Am I clear? She bellowed
"Yea ma'am" he scurried away.

" Back to you don't think am done with you just yet" she faced me" You're are coming with me " before I knew what was happening she started dragging me towards the get

"Seriously? She said unbelievably " you should be grateful I'm touching your filthy, dirty skin . " open the gates now!" She shouted all the while her minions were following behind her like lost puppies.  The gates were opened and before I could say anything I was thrown off forcefully that I landed inside the mud by the gate . My whole body was soaked in the mud I didn't intend t cry because it was so humiliating but my eyes betrayed me and got teary. I looked up to see all of them laughing which made me cry the more

"This is where you belong and the next time I see you, it will be a lot more humiliating " she said venomously, turned on her heel and left.
I sat there hopelessly on the road soaked in mud for how long I didn't know. I cried my eyes out this was just to much I don't know why a human being will be so cruel the tightness I feel in my chest I can't explain. I used my hands to wipe off the mud on my face .

I stood up and looked around luckily the street was empty.  I can't go home like this ,ammi and papi will be so angry and start asking me questions and asking can't tell them
I began walking dejectedly , not even bothering about the mud on my body or the looks people gave me .  My only option now to stop at kulthum's. I kept on walking not knowing that I was already at the middle of the road , until I heard a horn behind my back and I quickly turned to see a car coming with full speed I immediately shifted but I still fell and got bruised
"Subhanallah habibty are you ok?" An elderly man came down from the car and quickly dashed towards me " hal 'ant bikhayr ya habibati? He asked vending to my level as i was still on the ground
"ana bikhayr ya sayidi, thank you " I replied
"You speak English child that's good I'm so sorry I lost control" he said calmly looking at me , I don't know why but as I looked into his eyes I got a feeling that I can't explain ya allah it's as if I know him
" No problem sir my friend's house is just by the corner " I smiled dusting my clothes
"Alright child if you say so , then I will get going" he entered his car and drove off. I kept staring at his car till it was no longer in sight
I quickly ran to kulthum's house, said my Salam to her parents and entered her room
" Subhanallah huds I cannot believe you went through all that and you couldn't get what you wanted, I'm so sorry " she hugged for sometime before we let go
" so what are you going to do now?" She asked
I sighed. " wallah I don't know, I will pray to Allah he's the most sufficient "
With that I feel into a deep sleep of exhaustion..
