Remus and Sirius paced in their living room. It had been over twenty-four hours since anyone has seen Harry.

They called Hermione. They called Cedric, who is Harry's very close friend. They've asked around the neighbourhood. They even called the police, no sign of Harry.

"What if he's dead?" Sirius spoke up.

"No."

"Remus, what if he's dead?"

"He isn't so we don't have to think about that."

"How do you know that?"

"Sirius, don't. Not right now, not about Harry."

"I'm just trying to be realistic. I don't want him dead either. But I have to be realistic. There's a very high chance that he's dead. Harry doesn't just leave without telling people, especially not for this long."

"Sirius please, stop."

"Stop being so optimistic! Remus, he's dead. We promised Lily and James to keep their son safe and we failed!"

"Shut up!"

"No!"

"We didn't fail Lily and James. We saved Harry we didn't k-kill him." At this point, Remus was sobbing out all of his pain.

Sirius wrapped his arms around his crying husband trying to comfort him.

"Of course we didn't kill Harry. I shouldn't have said that. But Remus we can't get our hopes up." Remus nodded.

"Okay. I'm gonna try and get some sleep," he said and made his way to their bedroom.

Sirius, however, stayed there just waiting for an update on Harry.

"Hey Ced," Hermione greeted sadly as she sat down next to her classmate.

She looked a mess. Her frizzy brown hair was in a very messy bun, you could see the bags under her eyes from a mile away, she had dried up tear stains on her cheeks, and it was obvious she was lacking in the sleep department.

Cedric didn't look any better.

Harry and Hermione had been friends ever since second grade. While Harry and Cedric had been friends since fourth. They all were great friends. (Don't worry I didn't forget Ron about but he doesn't fit in the storyline yet.)

"Hi," Cedric said sadly, his voice raspy. "Did you hear anything from Harry?"

"No," Hermione answered sadly. "But this guy I've been talking to is close friends with the chief of police."

"Hermione now really isn't the time to be boasting about the hot future cop guys that you meet," Cedric snapped. Hermione rolled her eyes.

"For one I don't like him like that. For two my best friend has gone missing I wouldn't be going out on dates. For three how did you know he was hot?"

"It's a talent of mine I can sense a hot guy anywhere," Cedric said proudly, "anyways about the future cop, how can help?" Hermione rolled her eyes.

"How am I the only smart one in this friend group?" She mumbled under her breath. "He can help because he's friends with the chief of police. Albus Dumbledore. Anyone would listen to Dumbledore. If my friend could persuade him to move along the Harry search we would have a better chance of finding him."

"So we could see him soon?!" Cedric beamed.

"If it works, then yes," Hermione answered excitedly.

Cedric hugged Hermione tightly and started screeching inhumanly.

"Ced, calm down we don't know if it will work for sure," Hermione said chuckling.

"It's better than nothing." Hermione nodded and hugged him back.

-End of Chapter-

I just wanted to show how everyone is dealing with Harry's disappearance.
