It's been a week since Hermione went missing, and Cedric was starting to worry for his friends both of them. Hermione told him about Harry acting odd, and Remus told him about the phone call, and Cedric knew that Harry wasn't the type of person to do that.
So he went to Sirius and Remus' house to tell them about Hermione's disappearance. He knocked on the door.
No response.
He knocked louder.
No response.
He knocked even louder.
"What!" The door swung open to a tired and distressed Sirius Lupin.
"Are you okay?" Cedric asked.
Sirius took a deep breath. "Yeah, I'm fine." Cedric gave him a look like he didn't believe the man but he let it go. "So why are you here?"
"I think the same thing that happened to Harry happened to Hermione."
"Harry's on vacation, are you saying that Hermione went on vacation too?"
"No. I think we know that Harry isn't on vacation, he wouldn't do something like that."
"Cedric-"
"Don't Cedric me. You know that Harry isn't on some vacation you just don't want to admit it because if you do you'll realize that Harry is in danger!"
"Sirius, is everything alright?" Remus asked looking just as distressed and tired.
"Yes, everything is fine. Cedric was just leaving," Sirius said as he glared daggers through Cedric's skull.
"Cedric was not just leaving," Cedric spoke up. "Cedric was talking about how he thinks Hermione is missing."
"And Sirius thinks it weird when you talk about yourself in the third person," Sirius retorted.
"And Remus thinks you're childish for arguing with a teenager," Remus scolded. He turned back to Cedric. "Now, what do you mean Hermione is missing?"
"She hasn't been answering any of her calls, and her parents called me earlier and they said she hasn't spoken to them in a week. She calls them every day," Cedric informed.
"Well, I think she hopped on the Harry train and went Hawaii or something," Sirius said bitterly.
"Sirius, you're not helping," Remus said pinching the bridge of his nose. "Cedric come in."
Sirius rolled his eyes and went to him and Remus' room.
"Don't mind him. He's been like that since Harry's call," Remus said as he and Cedric walked into the living room.
"No, it's okay. I get it," Cedric smiled.
"Now, how about we call Hermione's parents so that we can discuss this with them," Remus suggested calmly.
Cedric nodded and dialed the number. It went straight to voicemail.
"Well that was a waste," he muttered to himself.
"Harry isn't on vacation," Remus said slowly. Cedric rolled his eyes.
We been knew sis - he thought annoyed. God, I miss Hermione.
"I've been saying that."
"I know, but I just realized you were right," Remus said looking for his phone.
"What are you looking for?"
"My phone," Remus said checking pockets.
"Why?"
"Because this is serious." Cedric snorted. Remus sent him a glare. "As I was saying, we need to call the police."
"I thought you already called the police," Cedric inquired. Remus scoffed.
"Yeah but no one cares about a twenty-year-old man going missing. A twenty-year-old woman, however..." he trailed off. "It's fucked up, but it's the world we live in."
Cedric nodded.
"Got it!" Remus exclaimed and dialed 911.
"911 what's your emergency," the operator said.
"Hello, I would like to file a missing person report," Remus said calmly.
"Can I get a description of the person?" The operator asked.
"Yes of course," Remus piped up. "Her name is Hermione Granger she is twenty years old, she has brown frizzy hair, tanned skin, and dark brown eyes."
"Okay, can you come in tomorrow with a picture so that we can keep an eye out for her?" The operator asked.
"Yes, and thank you for your help," Remus said kindly.
"No problem, and I hope you find your friend," the operator said then hung up.
"I'm afraid that's all I can do for now. I'll tell you if they call back," Remus said turning to Cedric.
"Bye and thanks Mr. Lupin," Cedric said and walked out the door.
Remus sighed. "Now I have to go and deal with Sirius," he said exhausted.
-End of Chapter-
That 911 call was unrealistic but who cares.
