TW: Homophobic Slurs

Draco walked through the grounds of his childhood 'home'. He was confused as to how and why he was there. One minute he was getting shot and bleeding out, then the next he was walking around the Malfoy Manor.

He walked to the backyard of the Malfoy Manor. He saw his mother casually sitting in the swing slightly swaying back and forth. He just stood there in shock watching her.

"Draco, it's not polite to stare," Narcissa said in a motherly tone. Draco kept staring. "Still can't follow instructions I see."

"How-" Draco started but was cut off but his mother.

"Ask questions later my boy. We have a lot to talk about," she said as she motioned for Draco to sit down in the swing next to her.

"I'm talking to my dead mother, what has my life come to?" He muttered as he sat in the swing.

"Watch your tone young man," Narcissa scolded.

"Sorry mother," Draco apologized with his head down.

"Now," Narcissa started before she popped Draco on the head. "Why would you treat that sweet Harry boy like that? Honestly, he deserves more than a sappy I love you in a sweaty gym! Then you decided to go off and have make up-"

"Mother!" Draco screeched. "W-Were you watching?" He asked timidly.

"No! Not that part! But that poor boy! When you wake up you will apologize, properly!" His mother scolded. Draco nodded fearfully.

"So I'm confused what's going on? How am I here? How are you here?" He asked.

"You got shot. And now you're in a coma because of the blood loss. So your mind put you here to comfort you while you recover," Narcissa explained.

Draco wondered how his mother could be so calm in this situation. He wondered if this was even real. He hadn't seen his mother since he was sixteen. Now he was reunited with the only person that cared for him during his awful childhood. And he didn't know how to feel.

"Your brain might be affected," the blonde woman informed sadly. "You hit your head pretty hard when you fell. There could be some small temporary memory loss... but I'm sure it's nothing."

"But I remember Harry..." Draco said slowly. "I remember everything that happened in my life. My memory is fine."

"Draco I honestly thought that I raised you to be smarter," Narcissa sighed pinching the bridge of her nose.

"Do you feel any gunshot wounds? Any pain in your shoulder? Your head?" Draco shook his head. "Which means that your injuries in the real world don't exist here."

"That makes sense," Draco said feeling dumb.

"I know," his mother said proudly.

I see where I get my cockiness from - Draco thought with a fond smile as he looked at his mother.

"I missed you," he spoke sadly.

Narcissa looked over at him and the sad look on her son's face brought tears to her blue eyes.

"I missed you too," she said patting his shoulder. "You know it's been two weeks since you got shot? You've been in a coma for two weeks."
