" What do you think about long distance relationships ?"

Jimin stares at Yoongi. They are currently sitting on the beach, watching the beautiful sunset. No words were spoken between the two, they found comfort in each other's silence.

But the sudden question gave Jimin goosebumps.

" Why are you asking ?"

He plays with the sand, capturing it in his tiny fist and then letting it flow down.

" Just because."

Jimin looks at Yoongi, trying to read the look on his face.

" Personally I don't think I'd ever get into a long distance relationship."

Jimin admits and Yoongi can feel his heart sinking at the confession. He somehow anticipated this reaction from him but hearing it coming out of Jimin's mouth just made him feel miserable.

" I'm the kind of person who constantly craves love and affection. I don't think I'd do well in a long distance relationship where we can't see each other for most of the time."

He never thought about the topic himself but now that the older asked him about it, he started giving it a thought.

Yoongi nods his head. He stands up abruptly, ready to leave.

" I've something important to do. I'll see you later."

With just that he storms off from the beach.

Jimin extends his hand but before he could hold the alpha, he's already gone.

The sun set in the oceans, painting the sky with a bright orange hue, reminding Jimin of tangerines. The same tangerines that Yoongi loves to eat.

The beach has been their comfort place for as long as he can remember. It would not be wrong to say that it was like a ritual for them to spend the weekend watching the sunset together.

But there was something weird about Yoongi today. He was never the one to leave Jimin alone like this, even if he had important work he'd put it after him.

" Hyung.."

He whispers looking at the sea, the cold winds blow by his face making him shiver.

The usually furnished house looked empty , now that the things were packed in little boxes. Instead of a regular table and chairs it was filled with brown boxes.

" Oh, you're here."

Mrs. Min finishes packing the fragile crockery, taping the opening of the box.

She smiles on seeing her son arriving back but strangely Yoongi didn't return her smile.

" What's wrong ? Did you tell Jimin that we're moving."

His eyes meet his mom's on the mention of Jimin. She could feel the hurt in his eyes, afterall Jimin was Yoongi's best friend since childhood and anyone wouldn't be happy about being separated from their friend.

" Oh Yoongi, you should tell him."

She caresses her son's cold cheek with her warm hands. The warmth of her hand is the same as Jimin.

" He would be sad if he hears the news from  anyone else."

Yoongi knows he should have told him the news the day he heard it but he didn't have the heart to see Jimin crying. Whenever he'd gather the courage to break the news to him , Jimin's happy smile would make him timid.

" We have to move out tomorrow. You can stay the night with him."

She understands what her son is going through and knowing what her son feels towards Jimin doesn't exactly ease her worries. She gave him a pat on shoulder before continuing with the packing.

Yoongi wished he had more time to spend with Jimin. Just when he thought his life was going smoothly and he could finally confess his feelings to the latter, they had to move out to another city. Sure he could visit Jimin during holidays or something but it wouldn't be the same as now.

He thought maybe they could make it work as a long distance relationship but hearing Jimin's words earlier today, he didn't think that would be the case. Maybe Jimin was just meant to come into his life, just not meant to stay. Jimin deserves someone who loves him unconditionally and wouldn't leave him for anything, he wished that he could be the one.

He's not selfish enough to make Jimin wait for him because he himself isn't sure if he'd ever come back to Busan. So the only thing he could do is let Jimin go away from him. He just wants his Jimin to be happy even if it's not with him.

Visiting Jimin's home is nothing out of the ordinary for Yoongi but today his hands quiver pressing the doorbell. He feels the tension build up on hearing the footsteps. It's already past nine, the moonlight lights up all the surroundings.

" Yoongi hyung ?"

Jimin is shocked to see him. Yoongi always comes at his house unannounced, but given the time Jimin can't help but feel a little worried about the sudden visit. He tries to put the worry aside, inviting him inside with a big smile.

" Oh, Yoongi."

Yoongi bows at Jimin's mother once he notices her presence in the house. The look on her face gives it away that she already knows about it.

" Mom, we're going into my room."

Jimin announces dragging Yoongi behind him. His mother just looked at the two boys with pity in her eyes.

" What should we play hyung ?"

Jimin continues to fumble with his shelves, frowning when he couldn't find anything fun to play. They had played every game multiple times.

Yoongi just sits on Jimin's bed quietly taking in every bit of Jimin for the last time. The room smells just like Jimin, fresh and floral. There's something about it that makes Yoongi feel like home. It's warm.

Jimin freezes in his spot when he feels Yoongi's arms snake around him. It's not like they have never hugged before. But it's different from other times , it feels like .... goodbye.

" What's wrong with you hyung ?" He turns around to face him, his hands fixed on Yoongi's shoulder.

The older doesn't answer his question, instead he buries himself in Jimin's neck inhaling the peachy scent, probably for one last time.

" Hyung.." He tries to speak but Yoongi shushes him. He tilts their bodies like that , falling on Jimin's bed. The matter dips from the weightage, the soft fabric tingling against Yoongi's skin.

Jimin tries to move away from Yoongi's hold but the older just pulls him closer at every moment. It's like he doesn't want him to leave for even a second.

" Stay."

The voice echoes in the room. Jimin instantly senses that the older one is having a bad day. It's not something he'll do without any reason.

" I'm here for you. Don't worry."

Yoongi buries himself even more into Jimin , the words piercing through his soul. If only he could stay a little more with his Jimin, his life would be perfect.

Jimin starts to hum a sweet melody, Yoongi always took a liking to his singing and it's one of those things that make Yoongi calm in such a situation. Jimin's hand travels upto Yoongi's back, securing his hold there as a sign of reassurance.

If only he knew what the next morning would bring him..
