<A FEW DAYS LATER>
Jongho walked in through San's apartment door and saw the older making breakfast for his lover and his daughter."Good morning. I have some news for you." Jongho said and San stopped making breakfast for a moment and sat down at the small table that he had in his apartment with his brother.
"Oh? What is it?" San asked curiously and Jongho let out a sigh.
"Mom wants to invite you, Wooyoung, and Hwayoung over for dinner tonight back at home." Jongho told him and San's eyes went wide as he shook his head almost immediately.
"No. I can't. She hasn't even met Wooyoung and she hasn't seen Hwayoung since she was a baby." San refused and Jongho looked up at his older brother.
"Hyung, calm down. It'll be okay. She just wants to get to know both of them. And you can finally tell her that you are adopting another baby! I still can't believe that Wooyoung agreed to it." Jongho said excitedly and San nodded, smiling happily.
"I know. It's so crazy to think that I'm gonna be married and be a father of two." San said, sighing in content.
<TWO DAYS EARLIER>
"Hey Woo, I wanna talk to you about something." San said as he got into bed next to his fiancé, who looked over at him."Yeah?" He asked, staring into the older's eyes.
"I told Minyoung that I want to adopt her daughter." San confessed and Wooyoung smiled.
"Really?" He asked and San nodded, his lover giving him a huge hug.
"I'm so glad, San! I've been waiting for you to tell me that for weeks." Wooyoung said happily, making San chuckle.
"I didn't know you would be so excited." San said with a smile before holding the younger's waist, pulling him in for a kiss.
<END OF FLASHBACK>
San let out a sigh as he looked up at his younger brother.
"What if..what if mom doesn't like Wooyoung?" He asked and Jongho chuckled.
"Really, San?" He asked and San nodded sadly, looking down.
"Of course she will like him. What kind of question is that?" Jongho asked and San shrugged, the younger wrapping his arms around him in a comforting hug.
"She doesn't even know that I came out as bisexual..." San whispered and Jongho shushed him softly.
"Don't worry about that for now. Just worry about having a fun time tonight, all right? I'm sure everything will be fine." The red-haired ale reassured the older, who managed a small smile.
The two heard the bedroom door and San looked up, seeing Wooyoung carrying a tired Hwayoung in his arms, his jet black hair a mess.
San noticed that his lover was wearing his black glasses, which he has always told him looked really handsome.
"Hey baby." San greeted him, walking over to Wooyoung and placing a loving kiss on his lips.
Wooyoung smiled into the kiss before they pulled away, San ruffling Hwayoung's hair.
"Are you still tired, sweet pea?" He asked softly and Hwayoung nodded, nuzzling her face in the crook of Wooyoung's neck, making him smile at the cuteness.
Wooyoung went over to the couch and laid Hwayoung down, covering her with a blanket before turning on her favorite morning cartoons.
He then went over and gave San a hug, letting out a sigh of relaxation. The older hugged back, smiling happily in content.
"She had another nightmare after you got up and she crawled into bed with me." Wooyoung informed him as he pulled away from the hug, getting a few glasses out from the cupboard and filling them with orange juice with the exception of one, which he filled with milk for Hwayoung.
"Again? Poor thing. Nightmares aren't fun." San pouted and Jongho shrugged.
"Hey, I think Hongjoong has an old nightmare doll from when he was a kid. Do you think if we find her one like it that it'll help?" Jongho suggested and Wooyoung nodded.
"Mm, probably. You never know unless you try. And if it doesn't we can always just look for other remedies online. I'm sure there are a bunch of them." Wooyoung said and the two nodded.
"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. Oh, babe, I want to talk to you about something after breakfast." San told the younger, who simply nodded and gave him a worried look.
San gave him a small smile, pecking his cheek. Wooyoung smiled and they all gathered around the small table for breakfast.
-
"So, what did you want to talk to me about?" Wooyoung asked as he and San were getting dressed in their bedroom together.
"My mom wants to invite us over for dinner tonight, including Hwayoung. I haven't talked to her since before Hwayoung was born. And I don't know how she will react to you or the news about the new baby..." San confessed nervously.
Wooyoung looked over at his lover, seeing the worried look on his face. He walked over to him and rubbed his back soothingly.
"Don't worry, Sannie. It'll be okay. We can go. You might feel uncomfortable at first, but you can't just ignore her forever. She is your mom, after all. And you have me. I'll be by your side the entire time in case you need me." Wooyoung said and San smiled softly.
"Thank you, Woo. That means a lot to me. Now let's get ready, shall we?" San offered and the younger smiled, nodding.
-
San took a deep breath, letting it out as he knocked on his moms door. Wooyoung was next to him, holding Hwayoung's hand.
The two were dressed in matching dress shirts and pants, Hwayoung dressed in a pink, floral dress.
They heard footsteps come to the door as it opened abruptly, San's eyes meeting his mother's.
She looked as if she was going to cry, her brown eyes immediately tearing up at the sight of her son in front of her with his small family.
"S..San..." She breathed out, some tears escaping from her eyes and streaking down her cheeks already.
"Hi, mom."
