It had been around a week since they had arrived. Most of them had already been selected to go to what Jansen referred to as the Safe Haven. Wether it was real or not. There was only Aris, Charlotte and Mackenzie left. The three of them were the only ones who knew something was wrong with this place. Every night the 3 of them would crawl through the vents and would watch as covered bodies were wheeled into a room. Who's bodies were they? They didn't know. What lay behind that door? They didn't know. Were the bodies dead or alive? They didn't know. All they knew was something was very wrong with the place and they intended to find out what.
It was morning and the guards had come into the girls room to wake the 2 of them up. They were dragged out for the bed and shoved along down the corridor. Jansen ran into them in the corridor.
"Charlotte your tests need redone. You can tend to that now" He said as he shoved past them.
Charlotte heard the doors opening. She knew this was a chance she had to take. She began to kick and scream and tried to escape the guards grasp. Just then she noticed a group of several people running through the doors out of breath. "Get off me!" She screamed as she kicked the guards shin which sent him flying back as the girl made a run towards the door. Mackenzie was still being dragged towards the cafeteria area as she knew she wasn't strong enough to fight of the guard. Charlotte didn't exactly know what she was doing, knowing her it would be stupid. She wasn't leaving Mackenzie behind, she would get out and save her friend from the outside, she ran as fast as she could towards the door which was being closed. Much to her annoyance a boy ran in front of her blocking her path. And the doors closed.
"Shit" She said annoyed.
"Who are you? Where are we?" The boy asked. He was skinny and had dark brown hair. All of them looked at her as though she was crazy before another one stepped forward. The blond girl kept her mouth shut and didn't answer. She examined the new group of inmates. They were an all boy maze. Except for the one girl who stood awaiting an answer. All the boys did. One boy in particular caught her eyes. He had blonde hair and chocolatey brown coloured eyes with a cut underneath each of them.
"Your a girl?" One of the other boys said in curiosity.
"Wow that's one great observation now isn't it. And if you didn't observe this I'm pissed" She said sarcastically to the boy. Just then Jansen came.
"Charlotte, please can you make your way to the lab for your tests" Jansen said smiling to her. That awful smile made her feel sick. She fake smiled back at him.
"With pleasure" She said through gritted teeth as she shoved the mans shoulder leaving the room. Charlotte made her way to the lab as she noticed the new group on their way to the showers. She was sat down taking her blood tests when all of a sudden the doors opened to reveal the newest maze once again. The boy with sandy blonde hair was sat at the station beside her getting an injection.
