"RUN!" Charlotte screamed at the top of her lungs, fear and worry evident in her voice as people called out in the camp. The first berg shot at us, right below Mackenzies feet as she stumbled to the ground, Harriet quick to her side. Helicopters, bergs, circled the sky above them as they shot at them. Not guns. But something that was sending the ground up in flames. Charlotte and Newt rushed down from the small hill they had been on.
"I have to find my friends!" Charlotte shouted over the noise as she grabbed Newts forearm.
"Be careful" He told her before she dashed into the distance, her eyes darting around everywhere as she scanned the area.
"Charlotte!"
The girl spun around as she was greeted with Sonya's quick embrace. "Mackenzies with Harriet. Keira's helping Jorge with Brenda!" She shouted over the noise as Charlotte nodded.
"Where's Aris?" Charlotte began to worry as she spun around anxiously.
"We'll find him" Her friend reassured before handing her a gun.
Suddenly, a shot was fired right beside them as they were flung backwards. Charlottes head hit off a large rock as she gasped in pain. A man, Vince, quickly helped the girl up as he patted her back before rushing away to help people.
"Aris!" Charlotte shouted as her eyes met the boys as he ran to her side. "I thought you were dead!"
The boy nodded his head sideways. "If we don't look out, we all will be"
Charlotte spun around as Sonya appeared at their side. Her eyes locking onto Thomas who stood at the top of a small hill off to the side, his face showed nothing but pure horror at the scene unfolding down below him. The bright flames surrounding everybody. One of the helicopters deployed several WCKD soldiers, suited up with large guns in hands.
"Charlotte come on!" Aris called as the three of them began running while the men began firing at them. A man fell to the ground beside Charlotte, her eyes widening as he screamed in pain. They weren't normal bullets, they were electrocuting them. When she turned to run after Sonya and Aris they had disappeared as Minho appeared at her side.
"What the hell is happening!" He shouted as he looked around them.
"Where's Newt, Miles and Frypan!" Charlotte questioned loudly, ignoring his previous sentence.
"I lost them. They're fine" He said assuring her as she breathed a sigh of relief.
She stumbled to the ground as Minho picked her up quickly and ducked beside a large can, Frypan and Newt rushing to their side. "Where's Thomas!?" Frypan shouted.
"I seen him a while ago!" Charlotte shouted back as her eyes landed on Vince who stood at a jeep with a large weapon on the back which Vince was firing as Harriet and Mackenzie passed ammo.
