You woke up extremely early to whip up something extra special for a special lady. You hummed quietly, moving swiftly around the kitchen with Avery, Andy, and Tommy, who had offered their help.
"The Boss is gonna love this, N/N!" Andy inquired excitedly, making you nod, "Oh, she will! It's her favorite, of course!" You were making breakfast for Peacock and with the help of the Gang, you were doing it much faster!
You replied to Andy's happy remark with a joyous tone, feeling ecstatic just imagining what your awesome girlfriend's reaction would be to this surprise.
About 20 minutes and everything was completely done. You walked to your bedroom, holding in your laughter as you saw Peacock sprawled out on the bed, sleeping soundly.
"Babe....baby..." you whispered, shaking her gently. You crawled on the bed and hopped on top of her, straddling her waist, "Peacock!" You called her again, grabbing her shoulders and shaking her slightly.
"Gah!" She woke up with a start, looking around and slowly realizing you were there. "Holy shit, Y/N, you scared me!" She lazily leaned forward and laid against you.
You both fell backwards on the bed, her weight pushing you down. "Peacock, get off! I have a surprise for youuuu!" You whined. "Can it wait later, baby-doll? I'm tired!"
She looked up at your face, which was contorted into a look which feigned anger. Peacock groaned, "Fine, but only because I love you!" She scolded, standing up and making her way over to the dresser, changing her clothes.
You giggled, rushing out of the room, "Meet me in the kitchen!"
"What's all this?" Peacock asked. "Happy Valentine's Day, sweetie!" You cheered, jumping up to hug her. She was shocked, her metallic arms softly resting on your waist, "Valentine's Day?..." She repeated, empty sockets widening to show surprise.
"Yeah! Do you like it?" You questioned, awaiting her response to all of this. Peacock gently pushed you off of her, stuttering over her words while laughing nervously, "I-I love it, b-but I need to go do something really quick, honey! I-I'll be right back!"
She quickly kissed you and grabbed her shoes and hat, running out the lab entrance in a hurry. You blinked, still stuck in place after the weird events that had just taken place. "Um, not the reaction I expected, but good nonetheless." You laughed.
Meanwhile, a ginger-haired female was bumping into random people in New Meridian as she ran on the sidewalks of downtown. She struggled to stop when she tried to turn a corner. Oh lord, what was she gonna do?! She completely forgot that today was Valentine's Day!
"Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck!" She cursed repeatedly, getting glares from parents and astonished looks from teens and kids. Peacock had been making plans for this day, but couldn't figure anything out.
You were special to her. You deserved the world in her eyes. You were her everything and she was this close to blowing it. She ran around looking for different stores to buy gifts, but most of them were either closing up for the weekend, out of stock, or had terrible things.
Peacock held a look of disappointment as she turned around, hanging her head while walking back to the Lab.
