I ran into the bathroom where Bree was in a state of panic. It didn't take long to see why. Water was rising from the bathtub in unnatural forms. Besides a water "statue" of a sunflower was my son. He had a look of delight on his face as his hands seemed to guide the water. "SYD!" I yelled in fear. He jumped, startled at my words, and looked at me as the "sunflower" fell back into the bathtub.
His eyes began to glaze over with unshed tears, so I attempted to comfort him with my words. When Syd realized he wasn't in trouble, he gave me his teethy grin and said, "Papa, watch!" I watched in awe as the water flowed into a shape caused by my son's fluid hand movements. In just moments he manipulated the water into a butterfly. Bree giggled with delight as Syd made it "flutter" over towards her. Once it reached her, it exploded into fireworks that splashed Bree on the face. I let Syd have his fun. Twenty minutes later, Bree was drying him off and dressing him while I dried the bathroom.
The days passed by quickly. Soon, days turned into weeks and months. Syd was growing fast. Already, he looked like a four-year old. He prefered to hunt with Bree and I and was becoming increasingly better at it. He was also becoming a master at manipulating water. He created a small tornado above the pond near our cottage one day. I had to stop him before he did any damage to the aquatic life. Syd wasn't very happy, and he stomped off to his bedroom.
Syd is getting so big, and he needs new clothes. We go hunt before shopping. I watch my son proudly as he takes down a large buck. "Fred, it looks like it may rain soon." Bree said as she walked up to me. "Come on, Syd! We need to head back to the cottage before it rains." I shouted to my son. "Dad! Please just a little longer! I'm still hungry!" Syd cried to me. He knows that he has my heart, so I shouted back, "Okay, but only fifteen more minutes!"
A few minutes later it began to rain hard. "Okay, son! It's time to go!" I yelled. Syd came running up to us. Something looked off about him, but it wasn't until he was beside us that I noticed what it was. As he stood beside me, the rain stopped. Except for his shoes and pants, he was dry. It was as if he made a sort of force field by manipulating the rain drops. The three of us walked home.

A/N: Sorry this is short. I've been sick, and I have the worst case of writer's block ever. I hope you guys enjoy Syd's ability! Not sure what I'll do with it. The photo that I've (hopefully) added to this entry is what I envision baby Syd to be. Thanks to Danielle DeMarco for finding the photo! I'm five fans away from my birthday goal!
