I regained consciousness as soon as the ice turned to fire. By that time, the girl had left me alone. I was still tied up, but that didn't matter. It felt as if my blood was boiling. It began at the wound that was left from when she bit me. At first, I was able to bear the pain, but within minutes the fire was spreading. I had heard of spontaneous human combustion, and now I fear that I was about to spontaneously combust. It is unbearable, and so I begin to black out from the pain.

My brain is on fire now. It wakes me up with a jolt. I have no idea how long I've been down here, but the girl or Riley must have come back, because there is what seems like a black mass in the corner, and I am no longer bound at my hands and feet. My body is still hot as a burning coal, so I scream out in agony. The pain causes me to black out once again.

The first thing that comes to my mind is how dry my throat is when I wake up. Then it occurs to me that the fire that was coursing through my body has now ceased. As I adjust to being pain free, I also notice that I can see more clearly. The black mass I vaguely remember being in the corner turns out to be an unconscious homeless man. What scares the the most is how much I am tempted to sink my teeth into the homeless man's neck. I can smell the heavenly scent of his sticky, coppery blood. My mouth begins salivating. I run my tongue across my lips. That's when I notice them. I have razor sharp fangs. The knowledge of what I must do hits me almost as fast as I can shoot across the room and sink my teeth into the man that is passed out in front of me.
