Chapter 18 - Unanticipated Viewing

*About a couple weeks later*

Pip

We've had Paisley for a couple weeks now, and I adore her. She is such a bundle of joy. I was cuddling with Paisley in bed, watching tv, when I heard the door open. It was Lin.

"Hey babe, are you ready to go back to rehearsals tomorrow?" He asks, as he gives both me and Paisley a kiss.

"Yes!" I exclaim. I almost forgot that tomorrow I get to do the show again!

''And we're bringing our bubba!'' Lin smiles widely as he looks over at Paisley, and picks her up to swaddle her.

''Yes! She's going to love the cast..'' I happily sigh.

''Alright, well, I'm going to make dinner-'' Tobi interrupts Lin by jumping on his legs and barking. We both start laughing and I pick up Tobi and pat him.

''Tobi! Pip has already fed you tonight. We'll give you food in the morning.'' Lin sighs.

I give Lin a 'fake angry' face and pout. ''You just want food, don't you Tobi? I know. I know. Lin is just being a grumpy dude right now.''

''Did you just call me 'dude'?'' He asks and I giggle.

Tobi starts licking my face and I laugh and kiss his head. ''I love you, little Tobi. Go play!'' I say, throwing a chew toy onto the floor. He barks and jumps off the couch, grabbing the chew toy.

''Alright, well, are you hungry, Pip? I'm not. But I can make you something..'' Lin says, switching my gaze to him.

''You're not hungry? I thought you called 2 hours ago and you said you were.'' I frown.

He looks at me nervously and starts to run his hand through his hair. He always did that when he was hiding something. ''Lin.''

''Okay, I ate with the cast."

''I knew it!'' I laugh.

''I just didn't want to tell you, so you wouldn't feel left out.'' He admits, sighing.

I stand up and walk over to him. ''I don't mind. But, please tell me next time?''

''Alright.'' He smiles. I give him a quick kiss and then hug him.

''What did you eat, Lin?''

His eyes widen and I raise my eyebrows. ''Burgers..''

I put my hand to my chest dramatically and pout. He chuckles and wraps his arms around me. ''I love you.''

''I love you too.''

''Are you hungry, Pip?''

''Not really, I was eating with Tobi before.''

''You were eating dog food?'' He laughs.

''No! I was eating.. Pizza.'' I say. I totally did not order a pizza for myself.

''You gave some to Tobi?'' He asks, looking back at Tobi, who was sitting down, looking at us adorably.

I let out a small laugh. ''Yes.. Just a bit. He wouldn't stop staring at me.''

''So, you got to eat twice- no! Three times today and you still want more?'' Lin laughs at Tobi. Tobi places his paw on his eye and it causes us to run up to him and plant his puppy face with kisses.

I woke up to the sound of quiet whispering, and peaceful tunes. I turned over to Lin and saw him cradling and comforting Paisley. I smile.
