Chapter 11 - Appointments

*The next morning*

I woke up bright and early, 7 am to be exact. I had an appointment at the doctors today. I squinted and stretched for a bit. I didn't want to go to the doctors alone, so I had to wake up Lin.

I gently nudged him and kissed his head.

"Babe, we gotta wake up."

"Mm.." He murmured.

"Come on." I said, getting out of the bed.

A few minutes later, he got up. I grabbed some clothes out of my dresser, and Lin did the same. After I changed, I made my way to the bathroom. I curled my hair a bit, just to look presentable. I also applied some makeup. Then, I brushed my teeth and made my way to the kitchen to cook up a quick meal for the two of us.

"So, are you nervous?'' he asked me.

''Slightly..I just don't want anything to go wrong.''

''Well, I can assure you that everything will be fine.'' He tells me, nodding.

''Lin, not that I'm unhappy we're having a baby, because I'm very happy. But, I have um- a question?'' I ask.

''Mm..?''

''Did we use protection?'' I say quickly and clear it out with a cough.

He nods slightly, and then stops. He looks at me to the door. ''Shit.''

I laugh a bit, and then rub his arm. ''Well, it doesn't matter now.''

''Are you ready to go?'' He asked, trying not to look embarrassed.

I giggle and nod. ''Yes.''

We finish up our meal, and then we head out the door. We make our way into the garage, and then get situated in Lin's car. Next thing you know, we're there.

We head into the building, check in, and then find a seat.

As we sat down, my nerves started to kick in. Lin looked over at me, he knew the looks I made when I was nervous, so he immediately rubbed my hand and kissed me.

"Hey, it's going to be okay. I promise."

I smile at him, and we wait a couple more minutes for the doctor.

The doctor came out a few minutes later.

"Miss Soo?"

"That's me."

"Great, come on in."

We walked down the hall of rooms, until we found the one we will be in.

"Okay, have a seat."

I sat on the medical chair, and Lin sat in a chair beside me.

"Okay Miss Soo, you said you tested positive?"

"Yes."

"And have you been sexually active with your partner recently?"

I look down and say "Y-yes." My face turns a little red with embarrassment.

"Don't be embarrassed, it's okay."

"Are you in anything currently?"

"Well, I am doing Hamilton, yes."

"Okay, let me run a few tests, and I'll be right back." The doctor said.

I nodded as the doctor closed the door. I turned to Lin.

"Let's predict how many weeks pregnant you are." He said to try and boost the mood.

"Hm.. 3 weeks?"
