Chapter 5 - A Bit Too Helpless

*Warning: Slight Smut*

Lin

*The next morning*

I woke up that morning to a sleeping Pip. She looked a lot better, but she still looked so helpless as she slept. It's been a long night.

I decided that I was going to make her breakfast. I wanted to make her favorite, blueberry pancakes and some coffee. I got out the ingredients and I put the coffee in the coffee maker, and made the pancake batter. I watched the pancakes sizzle on the pan. After everything was done, I grabbed a tray and put the plate of pancakes and the coffee on a tray, and carried it to the bedroom.

I opened the door to a still asleep Pippa. I gently poked her arm and she woke up.

"Good morning, angel." I said.

"Good morning." She said with a yawn.

"Feeling any better?" I asked her.

"Yes, very." She replied.

"I made you your favourite." I said as I placed the tray of food on her lap.

As she began to eat her food, I chatted with her.

"So, are you feeling up to rehearsals today?"

"I think so."

"Please take it easy, and tell me if you start to feel sick again, because I will make sure you get the rest you need." I say.

"Okay, thank you."

I shut the door, and I went to the kitchen to make me a quick meal.

Pippa

After I finished eating, I got up to get ready. I definitely felt a lot better after last night. I picked out a white long sleeve shirt and some black shorts. I kept my hair down and just brushed it because I didn't really feel like doing anything to it, and I obviously wore my brown fedora.

As we arrive at rehearsals, Lin's hand is interlocked with mine, and everybody stares at us. ''Okay, just spit out the news already that you two are a thing.'' Leslie says.

''No, no we are not. We're just friends.'' I roll my eyes.

''Mhm, friends, definitely.'' Renee coughs.

I stare at her in shock.

''Just friends who haven't seen each other in six years.'' Lin says.

''Yeah.''

We all walk into our dressing rooms and get changed into our costumes. Today we are performing Take A Break, Say No To This, Burn and The Room Where It Happens, so I get changed in my Take A Break dress.

I tie my hair up in a low ponytail, and apply some makeup.

''Oh gosh, okay,'' I cough and clear my throat, getting ready to warm up.

''AaaaaAAAAAAAaaaaaaAAAAAaaaaaAA''

I look at myself in the mirror and put on a sad face. ''Take a break! Run away with us for the summer let's go upstate!''

''Not too bad... not too bad at all Pippa.'' I say talking to myself.

''Not too bad at ALL!'' Lin says, scaring me from behind.

I went up to him and playfully hit his chest. (Which, of course, was covered with his outfit)

''You scared me!''

''I know.'' He laughs.

''When do we go on?'', I ask.

''In a few minutes...'' he says leaning closer to me.
