Ricky's POV:

After Gina left a nurse came and put in more pain meds through my IV and told me to rest. The medicine made me droopy and made me doze off to sleep.

When I woke up from my uncomfortable and painful nap, I took a look around my hospital room to see if my parents had left any food or gifts and spotted a gift bag and flowers sitting at the foot of my bed. I attempted to reach for it with my good arm and finally got a hold of it after three tries.

There was a small note attached to the bag that that said Get Well Soon- Gina and I instantly knew that I had to make it up to her since my dad had told me that she was the one who called the ambulance. And I kind of scared her off.

It took me a few minutes to open the bag since I only had one good arm, but I finally dumped the contents out onto my bed and a teddy bear came out. The teddy bear was unique. His fur was a chestnut color and he had glasses and Red shoes. Wildcat Pride.

I reached over to the small table that was at my bedside and decided to text Gina and apologize for my behavior from earlier. It wasn't easy to text with one hand and a broken arm but I managed to get my message sent .

Ricky B: Hey Gina, thanks for saving my life. I really love the flowers and gift you got me. I'm sorry for how I acted earlier. Can you come visit after school tomorrow? I want you to meet Franklin.

Gina: No problem. I would be angry if I were in your position too. I forgive you. I'm sorry for saying those things about you yesterday. I was just curious. I'll be over after school tomorrow. Who's Franklin?

Ricky B: The Teddy Bear you got me. Duh. I'll see you tomorrow. x

Gina Porter: :)

After I finished texting Gina, I put my phone away and hugged Franklin tightly. If I am going to be in this hospital without my parents for a few days, I might as well have some company, even if its from a teddy bear.

Gina's POV:

As soon as the bell rang signaling the end of the school day, I jumped out of my seat and headed to my locker quickly to grab my belongings.

Thankfully, I didn't have rehearsals today and was able to head straight to the hospital to visit Ricky.

When I got to the hospital, I signed in as Ricky's sister again and waited for a nurse to take me back to his room since I didn't have a parent with me.

"I have to go attend to another patient. I'll be back ASAP. If anything happens, don't hesitate to press the Red Button beside his bed." The same blonde haired nurse said to me as her beeper went off.

I held my breath while opening the door to Ricky's hospital room door and entered the room quietly in case he was sleeping. I don't know why I'm so nervous to see him. I guess I caught feelings for him while we were at the skate park.

As I was closing the door, I noticed that Ricky was fast asleep on his side holding the teddy bear that I had gotten him the other day in his good arm. I decided to sit in one of the chairs that was propped against the wall near his bed and wait for him to wake up since the nurse would be coming back soon.

After a few minutes, Ricky's body started to move on the bed and his eyes fluttered open. He was fully awake and seemed to be confused about something.

"Hey sleepyhead, how are you feeling today? I see that you have company." I said to him while I pointed towards the teddy bear also known as Franklin.

"Hmmm. Oh, hey Gina. I didn't see you there. How long have you been waiting here? I hope not long. I don't know how long I've been asleep. The pain medicine makes me droopy." I heard Ricky say to me while he put the stuffed bear to the side in embarrassment.

"Not long. The nurse who bought me here said she had something to do. I'm glad you like the gifts that I got. you." I replied while I sat in the cold chair that was a few feet away from his bed.

"Don't be shy. I don't bite. Come sit next to me. It's kind of lonely, since my parents haven't visited much. They work too much. My mom just dropped some food off though." I heard Ricky say with a raspy voice.

After he said that I moved my chair over towards his bed and placed it next to him so that we were a foot or so apart. I noticed that there were dark circles under his eyes and it looked like he had been crying earlier.

"I'm sorry about your parents. I know how it feels to be alone. My dad left my mom and I when I was 7 and my mom's job requires her to move a lot so that's why I transferred over to East High." I replied to him as we got closer to each other.

"Oh. I'm sorry. I didn't realize that. You are so strong Gina. I admire you for that." Ricky replied to me while he reached over with his good hand to touch mine.

Woah. I thought that he was doing the musical to get Nini back? What is going on? I thought to myself as we touched hands.

"Ricky, ummm what about Nini?" I replied to him quickly while I pulled my hand away from his gently.

"What about Nini?" Ricky replied to me with confusion all over his face.

"Aren't you still in love with her? Isn't that why your doing the musical?" I replied to him as I backed away a little bit.

"I was until I found out that she got a new boyfriend. That ego driven guy, E.J Caswell. I can't really do the musical anymore anyways." Ricky replied to me pointing to his arm and leg.

"Oh. I'm sorry about that Ricky. I don't really like E.J either. He keeps bullying some of my dance team friends after school and it's annoying." I replied as I gently reached over to his good hand to comfort him again/

"Stop saying sorry, it's not your fault." Ricky laughed a bit to himself as he took my hand.

"Sorry." I replied in a quieter tone as I laughed at myself.

"Your really cute when you laugh or say sorry a billion times, Gina Porter." Ricky smiled at me.

"Gosh, Bowen. Stop making me blush. I'm going to walk out of here red as a tomato." I playfully said to him.

"Hey Gina, can you help me sit up. The pillow is falling and this bed is uncomfortable." I heard Ricky say stopping our cute conversation.

"Oh yeah. No problem." I replied to him before I stood up to help him fluff his pillow and help him sit up.

"Come closer. I think you missed the other pillow." I heard Ricky say before I felt a light peck on my cheek.

Did Ricky Bowen just kiss me on the cheek? I think he just did. Wow. My heart is racing so fast.

After my quick realization, I took a quick peek towards the door to see if a nurse was coming and leaned down to kiss him on the lips passionately. (A/N: Imagine this as a kiss similar to the one from icarly.)

"Wow." I heard Ricky whisper in my ear before he reached over to my face for another kiss.

"We should probably stop before I get caught. I kind of told the nurse that I was your adopted sister." I replied to him after we stopped for air and he stopped to get comfortable since he had been using his good arm to reach for me.

"Ok, but promise Franklin and I that we would get cuddles later?" Ricky said with a cute pout face as he picked up the stuffed bear I had got him as a gift.

"I promise I will. You're too cute when your in the hospital Bowen." I replied as I pecked his lips again then got back to my seat since I heard a nurses' cart go by.

"What about when I'm not in the hospital?" I heard Ricky say as he pouted again.

"I'll think about it." I teased him as I ran a hand through his curls and winked back at him before the blonde haired nurse came in to tell me that Ricky was getting his vitals checked.
