*Earlier that Morning*

E.J's POV:

"E.J, you got to eat breakfast! or else you'll be late for school. Your mom made those protein pancakes for you. Eat up!" My dad yelled at me a bit too loud since he hadn't had his morning coffee.

"Ok." I replied as I threw the pancakes into the trash while he picked up another phone call from his office.

My dad was always talking to clients on his phone or forcing me to eat these ridiculous energy protein things for my sports training. First of all, those foods suck and taste like cardboard. And Second of all, I'm only doing sports to make him happy and get a damn college scholarship that I don't even want. I want to go to Julliard.

It sounds stupid but theater has been my life since I was little. My parents are always working or too concerned about my college education which I don't even know if I'm going to go yet. I found my place in the theater and my parents don't seem to understand that they think I'm wasting my time trying to get main roles when I have sports.

After my dad got off his call, he walked over to the door without talking to me and led me to his car since he was driving me to school today.

"Your going to try out for baseball son and get defense or some other role. You hear me son. No auditioning for musicals anymore. This is your last semester. Every college scout counts. Your aiming for that scholarship." My dad said while patting me on the back then got in the driver's seat.

I didn't bother to respond to him since I didn't want to argue with him about this again. If I could do water polo and theater last fall, why can't I do it spring semester? It's not his choice to audition for the musical. It's mine.

*Lunchtime in the Cafeteria*

Ricky's POV:

"Hey E.J are you auditioning for the musical again this year? I promise not to pull some funny business or something. You can have the lead male role. I'm kind of done with musicals since Nini left for YAC." I said as I glanced at E.J who sat next to Ashlyn reading something that looked like a script.

"Hmm. Oh yeah." E.J said not looking up from his script.

"E.J where's your lunch? Did aunt May forget to pack it or give you lunch money?" I heard Ashlyn say to him as I looked up concerned to see him with no lunch in front of him.

"I'm not hungry." E.J mumbled as he kept his head down and looked at the piece of paper.

"Do you want some of my apples?" I offered since I didn't feel like eating them today.

"Nah. Thanks Bowen." E.J said denying my offer.

Something is up with E.J Caswell. He has changed after the fall musical, but he never says thanks to anyone not even Ashlyn. Weird.

"E.J, you have to eat something. Let me buy you something." AShlyn replied getting up out of her seat taking her backpack with her.

"I'm not hungry." I heard E.J said again this time with annoyance in his tone.

"Ok fine. Don't complain to me when you want food during auditions." Ashlyn said as she glanced at me looking concerned for our friend.

E.J's POV:

I was standing in line for auditions for the spring musical, Beauty and the Beast, when all of a sudden my throat felt dry and my vision started getting blurry. I brushed it off since auditions were more important. I was skipping baseball try outs this year. I belong in the theater.
